Torrent de Pareis Gorge Walk
Meeting point in Escorca
The meeting point with the guide will be the Lluc gas station in the municipality of Escorca, where you will have to arrive with your own car. You will find it in front of the restaurant Coll de Sa Bataia and you can park easily. It will be advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts at the meeting point. With the whole group gathered, at 8:00 a.m. the hike will start!

Safety briefing
Because of its cliffs (up to 984 feet. high), its wild character and some complex steps along the way, the descent of the Torrent de Pareis gorge is considered a high-moderate difficulty hike. Before leaving, the guide will explain all the basic safety notions to be taken into account. In addition, he will carry extra safety equipment in case we need it. The complex sections of the gorge have been equipped with ropes and grips, so we generally will not use the extra equipment. In any case, you know what the best thing about the tour is? That we travel with a guide. He knows all the secrets of this corner of Mallorca, and will be in charge of giving us the guidelines.
💬 Cliffs The cliff or crag is a mountain term used in Spain to refer to large, high and steep rocks.

Torrent del Lluc
In the parking lot where you will leave the car, you will see an information sign of the route, and on your left, we will take the path that descends the Torrent de Pareis. The first part of the route will pass through the forest. The slope of Puig Roig will be on our left, and we will see the Quarter des Carabiners and the troglodytic house of Cosconar. After an hour and a quarter approximately, we will leave the forest and the stony part of the route will begin: we will then arrive at the Torrent del Lluc.

Torrent de Pareis
A few steps later we will leave the torrent bed following the path on the left to S'Entreforc. At this point, the Torrent de Lluc and Torrent des Gorg Blau merge, and form the Torrent de Pareis which flows into Sa Calobra. Above us, we will have walls that reach 984 feet. high and we will see the Cova des Soldat Pelut. In about 10-15 minutes we will reach the first jump. So nervous! Following the indications of our guide we will border two pools and descend to the bed by the steps carved into the rock.

Descent of the torrent
This part will undoubtedly be the most fun of the excursion: gigantic rocks, ramps and pools will be waiting for us. It will be like going down a giant slide. Although it may seem that there is no path: keep calm, all the steps are indicated with boundary stones and paint marks. And besides, the guide knows the way thoroughly. After about an hour, we will leave the torrent on the left and pass very close to the Cova des Romagueral.

Mouth of the Torrent in Sa Calobra
At this point, we will have just a couple more difficult steps to overcome, and we will pass the Font des Degotís and reach the spectacular final part of this Mallorcan hike: the mouth of the Torrent in Sa Calobra. Do not forget to put your swimsuit in your backpack, we are sure you will not be able to resist to taste the crystal clear water of this paradisiacal spot of the Mediterranean.

Sa Calobra - End of the hike
The hike to Torrent de Pareis is not a circular route. It is a linear route that starts in Escorca and ends in Sa Calobra after 5 miles (8km) of walking. It will take between 4-6 hours to walk it, depending on the characteristics of the group and the trail. Don't forget to carry enough water and food in your backpack. Along the way we will take as many breaks as the group needs, it is important to hydrate and recharge your batteries. From Sa Calobra you can take a public bus that returns to Escorca (where you will have parked the car) at 3:00 p.m. which costs 2€/person. In addition to this, there are other possible connections to make the route and return to the starting point. If you need it, contact us and we will give you all the information to organize your hiking route in Mallorca.

Lunch in Sa Calobra
Sa Calobra is a cove in the municipality of Escorca located in the middle of the Tramuntana mountains and the end of the hike along the Torrent de Pareis gorge. We will arrive at the cove between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m., depending on the group. You will have time to relax and swim in its crystal clear waters. Before returning home, you can have lunch in one of its small restaurants or take some food and enjoy it outdoors in this paradisiacal enclave of Mallorca. Due to its exclusive location, the price of the restaurant menus tends to be high.
