Tour itinerary
Segovia hot air balloon rides
Segovia launch field
The Segovia hot air balloon ride will start at dawn, for that reason the starting time of the activity can vary between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The sky is waiting for us!

The launch field is placed only 550 yards (500m) from the wall. From this point, and without having yet climbed into the hot air balloon, we can already enjoy a spectacular setting with the Cathedral and the Alcazar of Segovia in the background.
Now that we're all here, let's get the hot air balloon ready for takeoff!

With the whole group, we'll meet our pilot. Before starting the take-off, and following the usual procedure, he will check all the equipment and when everything is ready, we will get into the basket.
Today we will get to know Segovia from a bird's eye view.

The hot air balloon launch will be very smooth, you will hardly notice that the flight has started. If we're lucky, we'll be surrounded by other balloons as the sun rises over Segovia.
With the spectacle of color that will form at our feet we will feel like we are inside a postcard.

We will ascend with the cathedral of Segovia just a few meters away, it almost seems that we can touch it with our fingers!
From the air, the Segovia Aqueduct takes on new proportions and we will see how the Alcazar becomes a fairytale castle.
This iconic place inspired Walt Disney to design his original Disneyland castle, and we’re sure he saw it from the air like us too!

In December 1985, Unesco decided that Segovia and its aqueduct should be a World Heritage Site.
Reasons are not lacking, and seeing it from the sky you will be able to verify it first hand.

The hot air balloon rides in Segovia will continue around the city, where you will observe and get to know the local fauna, such as foxes and roe deer. Especially we will see birds:: griffon vultures, kestrels, buzzards, kites and, with luck, some golden eagle or peregrine falcon.
If bird watching is one of your hobbies, it's time to take the camera out!

Landing is one of the most fun and exciting moments of ballooning in Segovia.
The approach flight will allow us to enjoy the landscape through the eyes of a bird, and even once we reach the ground the experience will not be over.

Flying in a hot air balloon is much more than a simple trip, around there is a tradition that will be repeated wherever you fly and anywhere in the world. After the flight, we will pick up the balloon following our pilot's instructions.
And once on the ground, toast! Once in the airfield, we will enjoy with the crew a glass of champagne and a picnic lunch.

The first aeronauts were Jean-Francois Pilâtre de Roziers and the Marquis d'Arlandes. After their flight over Paris in 1783, they celebrated the happy event by toasting with champagne.
Since then, anywhere in the world where you fly in a balloon, this tradition is maintained and a toast is offered to all travelers.

Segovia in the background illuminated by the sun, and a glass of cold cava in our hands, will be the final touch to this unique experience.
You've earned it, here's your air baptismal certificate.
¿Have you written down the date for the next flight in your diary?

End of the activity
Once the activity is over, we recommend you to walk around and discover the magical streets of Segovia.Nothing better than taking advantage of the fact that we are here to get to know the World Heritage city. A full day!
