Important information

The minimum age for the glacier hike or the ice cave activities is 8 years old. If there are children who do not meet this requirement, they must stay with an adult while the others do the activity.

Don't forget to provide us with your hotel during the booking process. This tour includes pick-up from your hotel, but due to traffic restrictions in the city of Reykjavík, the minibus cannot stop anywhere. Therefore, if it is not possible to pick you up at your hotel door, a nearby bus stop will be provided.

If you are a solo traveler, the price is higher, as you have a single room.

The Northern Lights are random phenomena that cannot be predicted, although the hotels are specially selected to maximize the chances of spotting them.

Ice caves are a natural and changing phenomenon, every year new caves are formed in the glacier and others disappear. The cave in the photos may not be the one you visit during your trip, or it could have changed.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation must be made 48 hours in advance and 85% of the total price of the tour will be refunded. Any request less than 48 hours before the tour will be non-refundable.

In the event that due to extreme weather conditions, road conditions or other factors, the tour is cancelled, we will provide another date as an alternative or a full refund.

Tour itinerary

DAY 1 The Golden Circle

Extra activity: Snorkeling in Silfra

Golden Circle

Our adventure begins by driving to the Geysir geothermal area in the Golden Circle as our first stop.  Although it no longer erupts, it is the geyser that gives its name to all the others. But don't worry, Strokkur erupts every 5 minutes and reaches heights of up to 35 meters. We continue with the Gullfoss falls of Iceland, which gives its name to this route, as its name translates as "Golden Waterfall". On a sunny day, you can enjoy the view offered by the Langjökull glacier.

Thingvellir National Park

And to close this circle, our last stop is Thingvellir National Park, home to the largest lake on the island, the Icelandic parliament and a unique geographical formation due to its location between two tectonic plates. This 3 day guided tour in Iceland has just started. As an extra activity, you can snorkel in the Silfra crevasse.

DAY 2 Seljalandsfoss - Skógafoss - Skaftafell Glacier

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall - Skógafoss Waterfall

Grab your camera as a second day of stunning views awaits us.  Our first stop is the Seljalandsfoss waterfall with its 65 meters high and incredible views. If you bring a raincoat, you will be able to explore the cave that hides behind the waterfall.  Not far away, the Skógafoss waterfall falls from 60 meters high, breaking the path of the Skóga river on its way to the Atlantic. There are hidden stairs that allow you to climb to the top and enjoy its picturesque views.

Vatnajökull

It is time to gear up because we continue to Vatnajökull, the largest glacier in Iceland. There we will complete the Skaftafell hike across the glacier. If you have seen Game of Thrones, get ready to travel beyond the wall because it was filmed in Skaftafell. But it doesn't end here, we will travel to our hotel in the southeast where our guide will take us to hunt for Northern Lights in Iceland. Get ready for a magical and unique experience.

DAY 3 Jökulsárlón - Diamond Beach - Reynisfjara

Jökulsárlón lagoon - Diamonds Beach

On this last day, we will go deeper into Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier, until we reach the Jökulsárlón lagoon. Icebergs and blocks of ice fall into the lagoon from the Vatnajökull glacier on its way to the Atlantic. We won't go far to reach our next stop, Diamonds Beach. And the wind and the tide bring the pieces of ice from the Jökulsárlón lagoon back to the black sand beach, forming a unique landscape.

Ice caves Vatnajökull glacier - Reynisfjara

This day is about ice, a 4x4 super jeep will pick us up and take us through the Icelandic wilderness until we reach the crystal ice caves under Vatnajökull glacier where we will explore and enjoy its unique features.

The last stop of this tour is the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. A paradise for bird lovers for its great diversity. You will also find formations of hexagonal black basalt columns under the cliffs.  Once back in Reykjavík, our 3-day south coast Iceland tour will have come to an end, but this is a trip you will never forget.
