6:10 A.M . Bus stop at Crazy Hot Coyote restaurant-discotheque.

⚠️ There are no meeting points in RIVIERA MAYA, only hotel pick up.

If you want to enter the archaeological site with mobile devices (such as GoPro, professional cameras, selfie sticks and drones), you will have to pay an additional fee for each device at the ticket office, according to the government order.

Please note that if you select the "with pick-up" option, you will go through the different hotels picking up the rest of the passengers until you reach the meeting point where the activity starts. That is why the pick up time at your hotel in Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Riviera Maya will be early and you will be notified 12 hours before departure.

We hope you have your batteries charged because a day full of emotions and experiences awaits you. If you have chosen the pick-up option, you will be picked up at your hotel in Cancun or Riviera Maya or you can go to the meeting point in Cancun that best suits you. Once the whole group is together, you will head to Valladolid, a town of colorful houses that you will not be able to stop photographing.

Arrival in Valladolid

After a 150 km drive, you will arrive in one of the most captivating towns in Mexico, Valladolid. Did you know that it is named after the Spanish city with which it shares its name? For half an hour, you can stroll around this town and visit its famous cathedral of San Servasio, an icon of the place.

Free time and sacred cenote

You will have an hour and a half of free time to enjoy Valladolid on your own and take the opportunity to take pictures and buy souvenirs. Later, you will visit an authentic sacred Mayan cenote. This 60-meter diameter well was used by the Maya for their sacrifices and rituals in the name of Chaac, god of rain in this culture. When the site was discovered, a large amount of archaeological objects and human bones were found! It is really amazing.

Lunch and archaeological tour of Chichén Itzá

After a refreshing swim, it's time to taste authentic Mexican food and tequila. Next, you will arrive at the last and most awaited stop of the day: the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá, where great Mayan mysteries await you. You will tour the ruins of Chichen Itza with an expert archaeologist guide for an hour and a half. You will walk through the Temple of the Warriors and the Ball Court of the Mayan civilization.

  • What kind of shoes to take to Chichen Itza and the great cenote?

    For the visit to Chichén Itzá, we recommend that you wear cool and comfortable shoes. You will be walking, so closed-toe shoes are best, but keep in mind that the average temperature in this area is 29 Cº.

    For the visit to the large cenote, the ideal footwear is non-slip and aquatic shoes like booties. If you don't have them, don't worry, you can swim with slippers but bring a spare to return with dry shoes.
