Visit Punta Coco

Punta Coco is one of the most spectacular places on the island and that is why it is on our list of things to do in Holbox. It’s located very close to town (2.5 km approx.) so you can walk there, rent a golf cart or a bicycle. These transports are the most usual in the territory.

On the day trip to Holbox you will arrive at Punta Coco by boat, as you will depart from Passion Island. When you arrive at Punta Coco beach you will be able to meet the birds and pink flamingos so friendly in the area 🙂

Of course, don’t forget to say hello to the starfish and turtles as well. Obviously many more animals live together in this region, and it is not surprising because Mexico is one of the Latin America’s most biodiverse countries.

In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to take pictures on the famous collapsing platforms or hammocks that are right on the shore, you can feel the water of the riviera on your feet. This way you have unbeatable proof that you’ve been enjoying the Riviera Maya 😉

But, it’s not all sand and sea, there’s much more to do. On your walk around Punta Coco you’ll see a pier where you can enjoy a wonderful sunset, and if you keep walking, you’ll find a tongue of sand that few people know about.

Lucía

Lucia's life motto is "go with the flow". She lets herself go with the flow and joins any plan.

She has been lucky enough to travel to many different places, but her perfect trip is any place with sun, sand and sea. Indecisive by nature, she would not know how to choose between the Canary Islands or the Balearic Islands in Spain, or between Mexican and Peruvian food. Maybe that's why she will never say no to a trip... She has to find answers!
