We did a self-guided W as it was very easy to follow. Great to have the reassurance of having all the tickets and travel booked. The web platform was accessible and had all the info needed. The office was very responsive when I requested early and email copies of tickets. A fantastic tour - highly recommended.

Amazing trip, it really is a once in a lifetime experience. We are not so much camping-people so the refugios were the best option and didn’t disappoint. The (bunk) beds were comfy and showers very relaxing after a long day of hiking. Hike to base Torres is definitely the toughest, so good to have that one on the first day. Also recommend to hike to Britanico mirador on day 3 and ‘just’ to grey mirador on day 4.

Plans went smoothly. Would recommend them highly

Insgesamt eine wahnsinnig eindrucksvolle Erfahrung und super schöne Szenerien!
Den einzigen Abzug gibt es im Camp Francès. Hier waren die sanitären Anlagen nicht akzeptabel. Die Duschen hatten nur kaltes Wasser und es gab lediglich 4 Duschen für geschätzt 300 Personen. Nur 2 Waschbecken haben funktioniert und die Toiletten waren widerlich und wurden definitiv zu wenig gereinigt. Es sollte darauf geachtet werden zukünftige Reisende im Camp Cuernos unterzubringen und nicht im Francès. Preis Leistung hat in dem Camp überhaupt nicht gestimmt.

Incredibile experience and everything perfect but  a little bit expensive to stay in a tent in my opinion :-(  This is why I put 4/5 instead of 5.

The trip was fantastic and everything is organized for you extremely well. We had no problems at all throughout our whole time on the W-Trek and the the accommodations and food were even better than we were hoping. The only thing I wish was that you could choose which campsites you were staying at because our last day turned out to be extremely long compared to the others, because we were staying at one campsite where we had to backtrack, and would have liked to stay to one that was further along the trail. But apart from that it was amazing and has everything you need for your visit to Torres del Paine

The price is way too expensive for what you get in return. Also, this trip would consider that you're a sporty person. We were finished with the hike on Day 2 at before 12 AM and had nothing to do in the afternoon but couldn't continue hiking since the rest was booked out.

The experience is so great! The information you get is very helpful and detailed. We spoke to people who did organize the W track themselves but they had to pay more if you include all the things you need.

Amazing!! Both my husband and I were so impressed by the level of organization. Even the build up of the hike itinerary, in our opinion it went from hard to easier or the other way around. When we had to leave early for a hike, the staff arranged for us to have a very early breakfast (high praise for your staff and their kindness). To conclude: we would highly recommend Howlanders!

The overall experience was great and it was super easy navigating to and from the park, the only issue we faced was the last day; on the express spending two nights in Frances leads you to having a 32km day if you want to do the whole trek where I feel spending the last night in Paine grande would make more sense. The served dinners and breakfasts were fantastic and filling, lunches were good but heavy on the mayo.

L’organisation est excellente. L’équipe a répondu aux questions à mesure tant l’équipe de Howlanders que l’équipe locale ( Las Torres). Cependant, pour le trek 4 jours, on nous fait dormir deux fois au refuge Frances, ce qui fait que la dernière journée est très chargée ( plus de 30km). Nous nous questionnons pourquoi le refuge Paine n’a pas été choisi comme dernière nuit ( il restait pleinement de places en ce début de saison). Pourtant les gens que nous avons croisés faisaient ce circuit ( trek réservé avec une autre compagnie). Le refuge Paine est géré par une autre compagnie que Las Torres. Si cette raison est la seule qui explique le choix de refuge, cela est un peu décevant. Bref pour cette raison le 4/5.

Our hike was really beautiful. Everything was very well organized and we enjoyed the luxury of the tents that were set up, which made the hike even more fun.

We had a wonderful time on our W trek experience! The 4th day of the 4 day trek made us a bit nervous as it was listed as being a 19.57 mile day, but it was much shorter (around 15 miles per our Apple Watches) and totally doable. Perhaps having a more detailed map could be helpful to show exactly where you're going each day and each day's distance. It was so so nice to have everything arranged for us as we heard multiple times from others who arranged their own lodging and meals how it was a bit confusing. Would recommend booking through Howlanders!

Der Bus von Pudeto nach Puerto Natales kam nicht bzw zu spät, sodass er wo anders gewartet hat und wir nur mit Glück bei einem anderen Bus mitfahren konnten. Rest lief alles super.

In general I can't say a bad thing about the experience as offered by Howlanders, everything was taken care of in a good way. It was beautiful and we would like to thank Howlanders for that. 

There are however one or two things I would like to point out. You need to be trained for trekkings in the mountains and have the right gear. We weren't completely suited with the right gear and that made it slightly more difficult. Then the campings, I would say the distribution on a 4 day trekking isn't perfect, especially looking at the last day. Maybe there could be an offer where you're not in the premium tent for a night but in a refugio or other tent. Also the advice to start at 7.30 am is impossible, simply because breakfast is at 7am. One other thing... I know that the saying is, leave no man behind, but in the summer you should take into account that the bus won't leave at 7 as said, but at 9 pm. Makes quite a big difference.

Todo era muy bien organizado. Instrucciones claras. Fue una experiencia increíble, lo recomiendo!

Overall the W trek was worth every penny. 

Howlanders are outstanding, I was a last minute booker. 
They weren't able to get the dates I wanted (within 48 hours) but gave me options of other dates and went above and beyond to make it happen on such sort notice.  
After initial enquiry I was in the park starting my trek 3 days later.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to finish the W-trek because of an ankle distorsion on day 1. We slept 1 night at camping Chileno. What we’ve seen in this short time was great. Everything was organized very well, the tents were good and the food was great.

We have had spectacular views on the Torres mirador and the Britanico mirador. Really magnificent. We also had rather bad weather on most days. The only point of criticism was the hardness of the sleeping mats. The tents at Frances were also rather small. It was hardly impossible to store your luggage in the tent while sleeping. 

Everything was wonderful but we do have a few things we were NOT happy about. 
1) One is that we were never sent a time to meet at the tour companies (Fantastico Sur) physical site the day before our trek in Puerto Natales, so we showed up at 6pm to be told it was at 645pm. 
2) The bus situation in the morning form Puerto Natales to Torres Del Paine was an utter mess. We had NO idea which bus was ours so we asked all the bus drivers until we found the right one. We were told to arrive at the station at 630 but then also 645. 
3) Our route for the 4 day trek was absurdly bad and not thought out at all. Day two was 8miles and day 4 was 20 when we easily could have stayed at other campsites and would have had roughly equal mileage everyday. (Day two, stay at Frances; Day 3 go to Britanico and to Paine Grande to sleep; Day 4 go to the glacier outlook and back to Paine Grande). It was so bad that we weren't able to make it to the glacier lookout on the last day, which was extremely annoying that a garbage itinerary is what held us back when I could have booked this myself and got to complete it entirely. 
4) The sandwiches for the lunches were terrible. We had one the first day and then the days after we would ask for our lunches without the sandwiches
5) It would have been nice to know before we started the hike that we had to carry our trash the entire time of the hike with no real places to throw my lunch trash out.
6) Lastly (and the biggest annoyance of them all) the boat/catamaran situation on the way home was a JOKE. If we arrived to the catamaran when you told us to, 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, we would not have made it. People that were on our bus actually missed that 630pm catamaran so we had to wait on the bus in the parking lot for 1.5hours while it made another trip back to pick them up and drop them off. We were told we would get home at 930pm, we didn't get home until 1130pm. 

This tour was a logistical nightmare which easily could have been mitigated by better, thought out planning. Its not dificult and gives us the vibe that you dont care about the experience people have, just the money you collect. Its infuriating having someone else's incompetencies detract from what should have been a wonderful 4 day trek.

We had a wonderful experience! Booking was very easy and our trek went off without a hitch. Great communication with Howlanders throughout. We looked at booking refugios directly, but they fill up far in advance during high season, so going through Howlanders was a great way to secure a spot. We happily paid a little extra to have all of the arrangements made for us (the refugios/meals are not cheap even if you book direct). Would definitely recommend this tour and would use again on a future trip to Patagonia.

The tour was very well arranged and everything worked out as expected. Food was very good and the dinners at the Refugios were beyond our expectations. Tents were clean and we always had hot showers. We had a great time! Highly recommended.

The W trek itself was INCREDIBLE. If you are thinking about doing it, please do. We booked a bit last minute with Howlanders and were not super impressed with the communication. We paid before we knew it was confirmed. We had to email and chat multiple times until we were told they were working on the request and would get back to us. They said 48 hours, but it took longer than that. Once we got confirmation, we were not told which refugios and camps we were staying in and did not receive a confirmation time for the day before the huddle until 5 hours before we had to be there. It seemed a bit disorganized. While everything worked out, I would have liked more communication throughout to ease our minds about traveling 24 hours from Seattle to south Chile!

We had an amazing time visiting torre de paines and I felt so lucky that we discovered howlanders to organize our trip. Prior to our travels , we received a detail email with a day to day itinerary from the Refugio’s we were staying at and the meals that we were going to receive . We arrived to puerto Navines and the staff at the bus station had all the information that we needed to enter the park.
Extremely organized and looking forward to our next trip using Howlanders again !!

The advert for the express route should clearly state that you will NOT complete the W Trek as you are put in Frances campground which is too far for an average person to get to the Grey Glacier viewpoint. I know that it states in the trip overview it is to the first Mirador however unless you know the route it is unclear. Therefore I ask you to make it really clear in the initial advert
Also why can Paine Grande not be used for the 3rd night? As this would resolve the aforementioned problem.
Also can the itinerary be sent out once initial booking has been made so issues can be resolved before welcome meeting. As the lady attending ours was overwhelmed with questions in a 45 minute timeslot which made her curt and official not welcoming and friendly which is what a tourist wants after paying a premium price for this trip!

It was wonderful.  Reservation service, shelter facilities.  Everything perfect.  to improve, Fantástico Sur could pass on the information of what to take same days before.  They sent me the email the onde day before, when I was already in Puerto Natales with my suitcase packed.  With Howlanders everything is fine! Thank you!!

W is beautiful - it has been a once in a lifetime experience for us. 

The booking has been super smooth (even though first we were not confirmed to have breakfast at Frances). However, when receiving the confirmation from Las Torres, we realized we were not booked accommodations according to the package we have reserved at Howlanders. Thankfully, this has been fixed in a few days. The orientation felt rushed, and some of the info received there was not true (eg. how we can charge devices at the refugios). 

Overall; good experience, but would expect better customer experience for this price.

My mother and I booked to do this trek together and it was an unforgettable experience! It was absolutely beautiful, and it was well organised. It was more expensive booking through Howlanders rather than yourself, but it made it all very easy, because everything including food, accommodation and transport was sorted, which was rather overwhelming to sort ourselves, especially because we don’t speak any Spanish. We can’t recommend this experience highly enough. 

The trip started with the information briefing which I only got the information 6 hours prior to the meeting which was not helpful for trying to plan when coming such a long way. Gabriela was extremely rude and unprofessional. Don’t be fooled by the lack of Gabriela’s professionalism, the rest of the trip went flawlessly and would highly recommend! The facilities were nice and accommodating to our needs. An overall wonderful experience!

The briefing was unsympathic by the person responsable to do it. 
Sleeping in tent doesnt deserve the price 
The quality of the personnel on the 2 camps I attended was really good a dit was the case also for the food.

After receiving the original confirmation of the tour booked, we only received an invitation to a briefing the final confirmation 36 hours prior the start of teh W trek tour as well as final documents to complete for the tour, I found the reception of these documents far too late, all people I met shared the same opinion, considering the place to travel too, everyone was already on the road and the briefing was of poor substance, Gabriella at Fantastico Tour was really neither professional nor I think she ever completed the tour and therefore could not share any real knowledge of the trekking .  We were told don't bring your Passport and PDI along and we were given hell at every single refuge we did check-in at, really not appreciate the hassle provided and the threat to have to pay for the 19% tax because we didn't have our PDI with us, at the end at our insistence, each refuge had to contact Gabriella to receive the documents which she said she would have shared ahead of our arrival, I really failed to understand why it was not done, making more comfortable and easy for your guests.  Also check-in process at refuges very lengthy for no reason, lengthy lines to check-in and no choice provide for mealtimes, etc... , I found this very poor and unnecessary, I appreciate the seating capacity are limited in all refuges, nonetheless it doesn't take more time to listen to the guests and tray accommodate where possible.

Probably the coolest experience I've ever had whilst traveling (I did the 4 day self guided W trek). 4 days was just the right amount of time to trek (I'm not a big trekker back home) and I saw enough stunning scenery to last a lifetime. Staying two nights at Frances rufugio is highly recommended. Book this trip - you will not regret it.

An amazing experience! I appreciated the level  of detail and attention provided by Howlanders and Fantástico Sur. I had a clear understanding of my itinerary and insider tips like putting a garbage bag inside my backpack because rain covers don’t hold against constant drizzles or pouring rain.

I appreciated the explanations and flexibility around opting in for three-course meals or casual meals at the Refugios.

Would definitely recommend howlanders especially if it’s your first time visiting Torres del Paine.

We were doing W trek express in mid November and were staying in tents. The whole experience was wonderful. The nature is stunning by itself (we were also lucky with the weather), but also the whole organization was done perfectly. The tents are clean and sleeping bags warm enough for a good night sleep. You have access to the warm huts at all times, which is besides meals very convinient for an evening drink and chat. Highly recommended!

Mi pareja y yo acabamos de regresar del W Trek y nos ha maravillado toda la zona de la Patagonia. Toda una experiencia que recomendamos realizarla con los chicos de Howlanders. Son expertos en treks y en america latina y eso se nota.

It was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had. The landscape is awesome and you get wow moments non-stop. The organisation from the Fantastico Sur team is really good. We got a great explanation of the track, a welcome kit and some nice tips. The "refugios" where you stay have a good infrastructure and are worm and welcoming. Generally you get hot water for baths until 10pm.
The only thing I noticed is that those times they tell you for each trekk is just a bit insane to keep up. You need to really be in a fit shape or be a medium experinced trekker to make it. But nontheless it is really worth it.

The trek was absolutely stunning. The guide company had everything in order from the second we got there. The only thing I would say they could improve on are the box lunches but other than that the food was excellent

The W fast trek was awesome. Due to time limitations we missed the briefing the day before. Some info from briefing could be included in the toolkit we received because we were completely lost with info at the beginning. In overall the trek was amazing and the services very good. I would surely recommend the package to others despite being overpriced.

Trek is awsome, lunch box are great except for the sandwiches... Bring some snacks,  cafeteria staff at paine central are not professional, poor service. Camping was great in paine central and cuernos.
Overall : great experience and bring hiking poles.

We have had a perfect experience with Howlanders and their partners. The only thing that we had to worry about, is taking enough time to enjoy the impressive landscapes of Patagonia. 
However, the Expres Route is quite intens, so if you want to walk a bit more without a rush I would advice to go for the four nights.

The W trek is amazing. The places are incredibly beautiful. The organization is good overall. The meeting prior to the trek was useful, including the information and the material they provided. Maybe they could have been more “welcoming” during the meeting. We stayed in tents, which always had good mattresses and sleeping bags. The camping was good in sector central, excellent in Cuernos but less that expected in Frances (no place to stay after dinner).  Transportation  is overall well organized even if the first day we had to wait an hour for the connection in Laguna Almarga. Overall, well organized and highly recommended.

Hollanders made booking the W trek incredibly easy and accommodated giving us the information without us joining the welcome session due to late arrival. The trek was breathtaking and one of the most unique hiking opportunities. The refugios provide a great space to meet others, even when staying in the campground. Overall, the trek was incredible.

Staying in tents was a great decision for us, all the campsites were nice and the access to the huts is of a great advantage to have a drink after dinner. And we also had a great weather :)

We had a great time on the trek, the views were stunning and it was very well organised and clearly marked! The things we would change are only minor, and didn’t detract from our enjoyment of the trip at all!

To start with we felt like we didn’t have much information, but this was our fault because we arrived too late for the briefing the day before. It would have been useful to have an information pack for those who are late to arrive. The initial pack we were given was inconsistent because it gives length of walking for days 2 and 3, but not 1 and 4. Ideally it would show for everyday. 

The accommodation was good - the showers at Frances were great, whereas those at Central were not. The refugios kept you very well fed! Make sure you check the dinner times at each Refugio as we had some confusion when we got to Frances. 

We would have preferred to stay our third night at Paine Grande than to do two nights at Frances, as this would have balanced the length of the days walking better - day 3 was quite short, whereas day 4 was longer, especially as we wanted to reach the second Glacier Grey viewpoint (itinerary only sent you to the first one). 

All in all, we had an amazing time!

This was the highlight of my trip! Great landscapes and refugios. The express tour is the same as the 5 days but hiking on the first day, so I did not miss any area.

My flight was cancelled and I arrived in Puerto Natales a day later than expected. I informed Howlanders about the situation and they offered me the alternative of doing the W trek express, because there was no availability in the normal W trek. I did the express trek and it was wonderful. It is the same but without the first day of arrival. It was perfect!  Thank you!
