HOWLANDERS PRIVACY POLICY

Howlanders considers of utmost importance to preserve the privacy of our customers in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR). Therefore, for the purposes of the provisions of the aforementioned regulation, users of this website are informed that the personal data they provide through this website, whether by filling in any form, by e-mail or by any other means will be treated in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Place of storage of personal data.

Howladers informs you that, in accordance with the applicable regulations, the personal data provided by users will be processed by Vaciar Cache SL, in its capacity as data controller, located at Av Doctor Clara 16, 12002 Castellón, Spain, email: hello@howlanders.com, phone number +34 644 318 104.

2. Howlanders personal data collect.

Howlanders may ask you for personal data at any of the following times:

  • Initial registration to receive offers and promotions: the user can freely provide us with his/her email, address, and zip code in order to receive offers and promotions from Howlanders through our newsletter.

  • Quote request or \"last-minute\" reservation: when a user is interested in an offer and wants to request a quote, he/she has to provide his/her name and surname, telephone number and a contact e-mail in order to receive all the information and price about the offer he/she is interested in.

  • Reservation process: when a user wishes to make a reservation, a series of personal data (name and surname, telephone number, postal code, e-mail address, etc.) are requested in order to formalize the reservation. Howlanders collect this data even in case of not completing the reservation.


3. Type of personal data requested and stored.

At the time of making a reservation, the name and surname of the holder of the reservation, e-mail address, telephone, and zip code must be provided in any case. In some reservations, in order to correctly provide the contracted services, Howlanders may also request the name and surname, gender, date and city of birth, ID card or passport with its expiration date and city of issue, of all passengers of the reservation.

In the event that the client requests an invoice upon returning from his trip, he will also be asked for his ID card and the billing address.

Each time a customer visits our website, regardless of whether or not they complete the purchase process, Howlanders collects certain information about the customer such as IP address, operating system or browser used through the use of cookies in order to improve the navigation of our customers and to guide them in the services that may best suit them. This data processed on an individual basis does not allow us to identify a person but is considered personal data for the purposes set out herein and is therefore subject to this privacy policy.

Howlanders does not store credit card data in its systems since the processing of payments is carried out directly in the systems of the collaborating bank that complies with the highest security standards.

4. Use of personal data.

Howlanders will use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To adequately provide the service contracted by the client, for which Howlanders must communicate the personal data to the provider of the services that the client has booked (whether tour operator, accommodation, center where the activity takes place, any provider of other services associated with the package tour or other external collaborators). All these suppliers will be subject to confidentiality agreements and may only use the personal information of our customers in order to ensure the proper provision of the service. The basis of this treatment is the existing contractual relationship with the customer, so the provision of data for this purpose is mandatory, not being able to formalize the service contracted by the customer otherwise. The data will be kept for as long as the contractual relationship of service provision is maintained and, even after, until the statute of limitations of any liabilities that may arise from it and for as long as required by applicable law.

  • To satisfy the accounting, administrative and tax requirements of Howlanders. The basis of this treatment is the legal obligation of the company to meet these obligations, obligations arising as a result of the legal relationship with the customer. The processing of such data for this purpose is mandatory so that, if the customer does not provide their data, Howlanders will not be able to fulfill such obligations, and will not be able to provide the customer with the corresponding services. The data will be kept for as long as any legal liabilities arising as a result of the services provided by Howlanders and for as long as required by the applicable regulations.

  • To carry out statistical analysis and market research. Howlanders will anonymously process customer data for these purposes, not linking the information to specific personal data. The data will be kept, for this purpose, indefinitely.

  • Conduct satisfaction surveys on the quality of service provided by tourism providers. The comments issued by our customers, as well as any audiovisual material received, may be published in any of our marketing channels and computer applications to help other travelers to gather more information about the different accommodations and activities and to make better purchasing decisions. The client will have the right to appear anonymously or with a pseudonym. Additionally, the comments made about the quality of the service provided by Howlanders, will help us to improve our service and better meet the needs of our customers. If the client makes any comments about the services contracted, he/she authorizes the processing of his/her data for the purpose described herein. In the event that you do not want your comments to be published, you should refrain from making them. The basis of this treatment is the consent, which is granted at the time the user decides to publish a comment. The delivery of data for this purpose is not, in any case, mandatory, being able to publish comments anonymously or through pseudonyms, in which case, the user's data will not appear. The data will be kept, for this purpose, indefinitely. Users may withdraw their consent at any time, in which case their comments and data will be deleted from the Portal. However, in case of withdrawal of consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing previously carried out.

  • Respond to requests for quotations made by users or any other request or query made by them. The basis for this processing is the user's consent. The provision of data for this purpose is not mandatory, however, in the event that they are not provided, it will not be possible to respond to requests, requests or inquiries made by users. Users may withdraw their consent at any time. However, in the event of withdrawal of consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing previously carried out. In addition, Howlanders keeps the right to request service feedback and review by its own and third-party channels, as Viator, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, etc. In case the client does not wish to receive commercial communications, he/she should check the box at the bottom of the corresponding data collection form. When users contact Howlanders by any means of contact, both those offered on the web and any type of communication channel (email, telephone,...), and wish to receive commercial communications, they should check the box at the bottom of the form indicated. The data will be processed on the basis of the user's consent, which can be withdrawn at any time, although this would mean that he/she cannot be the recipient of the corresponding commercial communications. However, if you withdraw your consent, this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing previously carried out. The provision of data for the indicated commercial purpose is not mandatory, however, if not provided, you may not be the recipient of the communications indicated in this paragraph.

  • Users may also oppose the continued use of their data for the sending of commercial communications by electronic means by clicking on the \"unsubscribe\" button at the end of each commercial communication. The data will be kept for this commercial purpose indefinitely, unless the user has withdrawn his consent or has objected to the sending of commercial communications as indicated above.

The processing of data for this purpose is mandatory, so that, if the customer does not provide the corresponding data, Howlanders will not be able to comply with the obligation described in this point. The data will be kept for as long as any legal liabilities arising as a result of the services provided by Howlanders and for as long as required by the applicable regulations.

  • Likewise, Howlanders informs that through its social networks will be published promotions, offers or any other type of advertising information about the services it offers, accepting the user to be the recipient of such information by the mere fact of becoming a \"friend\" or follower\" of Howlanders in social networks. The basis of this treatment is the user's consent, expressed at the time he/she decides to follow Howlanders on social networks. It is not mandatory for the user to follow Howlanders on social networks, in which case the user will not be able to view promotions, offers or any other type of advertising information published by the company. If the user does not wish to receive this information in their social network profiles, they must stop following Howlanders in the same, withdrawing, by this act, their consent.
    Howlanders undertakes to use the personal data provided in accordance with the purposes indicated in this Privacy Policy, respecting its confidentiality as well as to comply with its obligation to save them and adopt all measures to prevent alteration, loss, treatment or unauthorized access.
    The responsibility for the veracity of the data entered by the user is exclusive of the user, so in the case of having provided false or inaccurate data, Howlanders reserves the right to prohibit the contracting of any trip, without prejudice to the legal actions it deems appropriate in defense of its interests. Howlanders has no obligation to verify, and does not verify, the identity of the users, nor the veracity, validity, completeness and/or authenticity of the data that they provide about themselves or about other persons. The user is therefore responsible for informing Howlanders of any variation that occurs in the data previously provided and guarantees and is solely responsible for the veracity of the same.

In the event that the personal data of a third party is provided, it is the sole responsibility of the user to have previously obtained the consent of that person for their data to be processed by Howlanders, having previously informed them of all the provisions of Article 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

5. Exercise of rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation, portability or opposition.

Users may exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation, portability and opposition free of charge by sending an e-mail, enclosing a photocopy of their ID card or equivalent identification document, to hello@Howlanders.com or by sending a letter to Av Doctor Clara 16 12002 Castellón, Spain. In the event of any violation of their rights, the user may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
