We were a family of 4, and did the 6 day option of the W Trek, from East to West, in the second week of April. We had a fabulous time. The park, refugios and route were relatively quiet but we had 6 days of blue sky, sunshine and amazing Autumnal colours - as good as New England or BC in the Fall. We were very happy with the organisation. Howlanders were responsive to queries during the booking process. Their local agents, Base Torres, were efficient - everything worked, all the bookings were made as planned, and it was a hassle free experience. Not a cheap trip for a family of 4, but it's a sensational walk and the fact that everything ran smoothly (and that we hit lucky with the weather) meant we felt it was money well spent. I've have no hesitation in booking with this company again.

Very simple process to book through Howlanders and avoids what is a confusing system to self-book. The W-Trek itself is amazing and well worth the effort!

The experience was world class excellent. The ‘W’ is a brilliant trek. I loved the tents on platforms at Chilenos and Cuervos. The camping at Paine Grande and Grey Lago was less cool because the tents are in such close proximity. I do understand that helps minimize the deleterious effects on the. Food service was inconsistent. Breakfast was always very good. Bag lunches were usually not very good. Dinners were generally pretty good- especially the desserts. I was very pleased with the value provided by Howlanders. The price was clearly broken down and all the transportation provided was fine. The one complaint/suggestion I have is regarding the transport from Puerto Natales to the park. It was difficult to locate our welcome package and there didn’t seem to be anyone to help. (In fact the person at the counter initially turned us away though she later admitted she had our package in the back) All the conversations I had prior to arriving were helpful. Your staff demonstrated expertise and willingness to help with every concern. Finally, signing up for the kayaking activity on Lago Grey was a highlight. So glad we did that- I would suggest you give stronger encouragement for people to sign up. Thanks for all your help in arranging this fantastic trip, making memories t last a lifetime.

Really nice adventure, we were lucky to avoid rain daytime and had a lot of sun. Good camping, the plattform tents are noice at Central, Chileno and Frances. Ordinary tents at Paine Grande and Grey. The first 3 refugios were a little bit nicer then the last two though PaineGrande and Grey served more and better food. 

The hiking was nice, some hard legs but as you can leave your big backpack at Chileno and Italiano when you make the trail to Mirador Del Torres respectively explore Valle Frances, it is doable.

Accommodation good , food mostly good.

Everything was perfectly explained during the briefing allowing me to do the trek alone but with all the necessary commodities being available.

Really enjoyed our experience - good communication and materials leading up to the trek, no issues picking up our items at each camp site, great meals included, and overall wonderful experience. Appreciated the peace of mind knowing our camping gear and reservations were all accounted for in advance.

We had the best time - everything worked seamlessly, and the camping option with breakfast, lunch packs and dinners included was perfect. Thinking back of this trip still makes me smile every time. I'd book with Howlanders again any time, and I can't wait to go back.

I've gone on a number of multi-day hut-to-hut hikes since doing the W Trek in Patagonia, (Dolomites, Tour du Mont Blanc, Yosemite's High Sierra Camp loop) but it remains the trek by which all others are measured in beauty, accommodation, interaction with other hikers, food, immersion in the experience and simple awe at reaching the Torres. This hike changed my life.  I'll never forget it, and still love everything about doing it.  Howlanders made everything very smooth.  It was a worry-free trip, as much as going from one end of the North American Continent to the other end and not knowing what to expect, can be.

It was a perfect organised and accompanied trip. Transport information and all details well in time sent before trip. In Chili we were assisted when.needed and this was simply not necessary. The Refugio’s were all well organised and nothing to complain. It is a hike that certainly is not for non walkers/hikers of age, we are 65ish and had no problem with all the hikes but we are accustomed to walking in the mountains. The views are great and unique. 6 Day hike is a real treat!!!.

Alle waren super nett und trotz der vielen Vouchers kein Problem. Obwohl wir die Kajaktour, wetterbedingt nicht machen konnten war es kein Problem vor Prt auf Icetrekking zu gehen. Alles hat also reibungslos funktioniert. Es war wirklich eine Tolle Erfahrung. Gut wäre wenn im Vorfeld die einzelnen Unterkünfte besser beschrieben sind. Für uns war es aber kein Problem.

Die Tour war sehr, sehr schön .Die Zelte waren groß und komfortabel. Das Essen ( Vollpension) war sehr lecker und reichlich. Ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit war das Personal der Hütten Vorort.
Nach einem Regentag gibt es für die Camper leider keinen Raum ,wo man die nassen Sachen zum trocknen hängen könnte .

Todo estuvo en orden.  La crítica es que nos vendieron lo que quisieron, en lugar de asesorarnos , por ej la carpa en Paine grande, y nos sacaron de Cuernos y nos pasaron a frances(previa consulta “tarde”para nosotros) .  Y lo más molesto es q podíamos haber vuelto de grey en catamarán, y no nos lo ofrecieron .  Excepto en central, los baños de los refugios con poco mantenimiento y mal olor.  La salida del catamarán en Pudeto a la vuelta fue sin indicaciones de dónde ir … estuvimos dando unas vueltas.  Nos resultó muy pero muy escaso el asesoramiento para elegir mejor , y eso depende del equipo de ventas , que no se tomó su tiempo.  La comida en todos lados fue excelente.  Y excepto en frey , la amabilidad del personal impecable.  Un sobresaliente para la gente del tour Hike sobre el glaciar. Los vamos a recomendar, pero vamos a decir q vean a otros operadores también.

We were a group of four friends, all over 60. The help and support we received from Howlanders was excellent for the most part but seemed to get very chaotic and confusing near to our departure date. We are not sure why this was but in the end, all the plans went smoothly and we had a fantastic experience on the w-trek.

la experiencia muy buena, todo muy bien organizado y fácil. Vale la pena contratar todo el pack con alojamiento y comida ya que te ahorras mucho tiempo tanto antes de llegar como durante el trekking

The hike is great, they give more food than you need (for us), rifugio were great, we have 2 cold nights and I had to complain for that but Howlanders fixed everything and I am happy at the end. It's was really easy to do everything if booked by this company

6 Tage,  5 Nächte ist recht entspannt für den Trek. Kann man auch einen Tag abkürzen.

Everything was well organized and our trip ran very smoothly.  By using Howlander there was no stress about whether the booking of accommodations and transportation.  It would be nice to receive the welcome kit before leaving Puerto Natales as I could have reduced my pack a bit more.

We had a great trip! Howlanders organized the trip very well (we have heard stories about other touroperators which weren't that good). 
We actually booked already in 2020, but because of Covid the trip was cancelled. Everything was refunded and we were happy with the way Howlanders handled the situation. So, finally in 2023 we made the trip and we weren't disappointed :)

Wahnsinnig tolle Landschaften, Sommer und Winter an einem Tag. Gute Organisation durch Howlanders, mit den Vouchers nie Probleme gehabt. Vorort sehr freundliches Personal in den Refugios und Campsites. Essen war immer hervorragend insbesondere Paine Grande und Grey.

Excellent throughout with everything being perfectly organised. Had no problems whatsoever. 

Great trip , well organised and some fantastic scenery. Easy trekking overall with some tough spots due to challenging weather. Francis campsite had tents crammed together and in poor condition, was not as good as central or Paine grande, however had a good evening meal. Shall we get a refund for the ice trekking that was cancelled due to bad weather? 

The tour was well organized, but the information event in the office in puerto natales was very short, not very informative, the lady was not very friendly and wanted to get off work quickly. We could have picked up our tickets at the bus station.

We had a great time - we were very lucky with the weather.
Re. Howlanders: the briefing was good, but more information on the last day at Grey would be very useful, e.g. that the kayak tours only run at specific times and need to be booked in advance. Vegan food request: we needed to ask to have snacks replaced a few times, as they weren’t vegan. Standard breakfast included various proteins (eggs, cheese, ham), vegan had none - at Central the vegan option consisted of two slices of tomato. Generally they don’t seem to believe in much protein for vegans at Central and Paine Grande - Frances and Grey did better. If vegan, I suggest you bring some added protein. Not quite ok to charge the same.
Transfers and equipment were great though.

Very well organised and prepared. We rmjoued the W Trek including kakying at lago Grey and can recommend using howlanders for booking this!

An excellent trek with amazing views on every day. All the campsites were great and the food was good too! Great organization and fantastic value for money. I would very much recommend this tour

Loved the hike through Torres del Paine. 

Every step of the 50 mile W Trek was exhilarating.  Howlanders made it easy for us to enjoy the hiking.  They booked all our refugios, bus and catamaran trips, kayak tours and answered every question promptly.  When our kayak tour had to be cancelled, our refund was processed within 48 hours.  My gal pal hiking buddy and I opted for the self-guided 6 day W Trek, and very glad we had the extra day to enjoy the park.  We met the most interesting people from around the world, an extra bonus.  I highly recommend Howlanders, and the Torres del Paine national park.  It's a life experience not to be missed!

Trip was as expected and described well on the website. I received all the necessary information before departing and communication was easy to follow. I would recommend this trek to anyone who doesn’t want to take the time to try and get all the bookings for each campsite on their own. In talking to others who did, it sounded like it wasn’t an easy task. Grateful to be able to surf the web, find Howlander and click the button to book a trek.

Very well organized trip, stayed in the Refugios, all the staff was so nice, food was tasty and enough, don‘t bring extra food! The hike on the glacier was stunning, the team was well prepared and equipped! Would definately recommend this trip 

There are no words to describe the absolute beauty and majesty of this place.  It is an experience beyond imagination.  I very highly recommend booking the trip this way.  The food and accommodations are great, and a welcome comfort for a weary traveler.  Everything was amazing!0
