Full-Day Tour to the Perito Moreno Glacier
Pick up in El Calafate
We start our excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier with pickup at your hotel in El Calafate. Once the whole group is together, we’ll head to the Los Glaciares National Park. Let the adventure begin!
Los Glaciares National Park
Once we’re in the National Park we’ll go up to the Perito Moreno Glacier. During our walk, our guide will tell us all about the history and characteristics of the glacier, as well as about the park where it is located.
Perito Moreno Glacier
When we reach the first balcony in the walkways of the glacier, the guide will explain all the different possible paths we can take in front of a map so we can choose what path to walk first, on our own time.
🍴 Remember that we’ll spend lunchtime in the park. We recommend packing a picnic and enjoying it in the walkways in front of the Perito Moreno Glacier but, if you’d rather eat at a restaurant, there is one available in the park.
Boat ride (depending on the selected option)
If you have selected this option, you will take a transfer to Bajo las Sombras port where you will take the boat that will sail for an hour near the glacier wall, to get to know this iconic glacier even closer.

All good things must come to an end. The guide will let you know what time you have to go back to the meeting point. The entrance fee to the National Park is not included in the Perito Moreno Glacier Tour. This is because you can buy either the one-day or the two-day version, depending on what best suits your plans. Remember to bring Argentine pesos, because the entrance fee to the National Park is paid in local currency. No credit cards or foreign currencies are accepted. Don't worry! Your tour guide will help you buy the ticket on the day of the tour.Will I be picked up at my accommodation in El Calafate?
Yes, pick-up is included in any accommodation in El Calafate. However, if you stay in an Airbnb, or in an accommodation without reception, you will not be picked up. In this case, you will be given a meeting point in the centre of El Calafate.Is the Perito Moreno Glacier tour suitable for people with reduced mobility? Do I have to walk a lot?
Yes. Visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier walkways does not require a high level of physical fitness, and you can adapt the visit to your own pace, choosing how far you want to walk and which trails to explore.
The walkway system includes different routes and accessible areas. Wheelchair users can also visit the accessible sections when accompanied by another person.
I’m traveling with kids, can they join this tour?
Of course! Children can join the tour, and there is no ice trekking involved. Families can explore the walkways and viewpoints at their own pace, making this a good option for visiting Perito Moreno Glacier with children.

The pick-up time is variable and takes place between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, depending on the scheduled stops at each accommodation. The minibus departs from the city to start the tour at 9:00 AM. We will confirm your exact pick-up time the day before via WhatsApp.

The return to El Calafate is scheduled approximately 8 hours after departure, depending on the conditions of the route and the time spent at each stop. The exact time may vary, but usually you will arrive back in town in the late afternoon.
Is the Perito Moreno Glacier boat tour included?
The 1-hour boat ride in front of Perito Moreno Glacier is only included if you book the option that includes the boat tour. If you choose the standard option, the tour focuses on visiting the glacier walkways.

They are two different ways to experience Perito Moreno Glacier. On this tour, you explore the walkways and see the glacier from different viewpoints without walking on the ice. You can also add a 1-hour boat ride in front of the glacier.
The Perito Moreno Minitrekking, on the other hand, includes a guided walk on the glacier using crampons and is a more active experience. Choose the walkways if you mainly want to enjoy the glacier from its viewpoints; choose Minitrekking if walking on the ice is what you are looking for.
