Puerto Maldonado Amazon Tour – Comfort Ecolodge

The tour includes accommodation in a comfortable ecolodge in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, located in the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, on the banks of the Madre de Dios River, just 10 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado.

Accommodation is in private rooms with private bathrooms, combining rustic comfort with full immersion in nature. The rooms feature large windows with mosquito nets and ceiling fans. The lodge also has common areas designed for relaxing after daily activities.

Among the facilities, you will find relaxation areas with hammocks, a bar, and Wi-Fi connection in common areas and in some rooms.

Electricity is generated through solar panels, allowing you to enjoy sustainable accommodation without giving up basic comfort.

The tour includes accommodation in private rooms within the ecolodge. The lodge has 2 family bungalows for up to 5 people, 5 double bungalows, and 3 double and triple rooms. All accommodation options are private and include a private bathroom.

Room assignment is based on the number of travelers and availability: one person will stay in a single room, two people in a double room, three people in a triple room, and four people in two double rooms.

If you are an odd-numbered group and would prefer to have an additional single room, it can be requested for an extra cost. If you would like this option, please contact us so we can arrange it for you.

The tour includes pick-up from Puerto Maldonado Airport, the bus station, or your accommodation in the city.

From there, you’ll travel by vehicle to Puerto Capitanía port, followed by a short boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to reach the lodge. It’s a short but scenic ride and your first real introduction to the Amazon environment.

Pick-up time depends on your flight arrival. Just include your arrival details when booking, and your guide will be waiting outside the airport with a sign.

To join the tour, pick-up must be no later than 12:00 PM.

We recommend booking a flight that arrives before 9:00 AM to fully enjoy the first day of activities.

The latest possible pick-up time is 12:00 PM. If your arrival is later, please contact us in advance to review possible options.

Lodge check-out is at 10:00 AM.

The return to Puerto Maldonado usually takes place in the late morning, making it easier to connect with flights or ground transportation. If your departure is later, you can stay in the lodge’s common areas until your transfer time.

There is also the option to add lunch on day 3 for an additional cost and leave the lodge after lunch. If you would like to customize your experience, please contact us before making your reservation.

Yes. The tour includes full board during your stay: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners.

Meals are prepared using fresh local ingredients, many grown on the lodge’s own organic farm. The menu combines traditional Amazon flavors with options suitable for international travelers.

There is also a 24/7 coffee and tea station available in the lodge.

Because of the remote rainforest location, electricity schedules and internet connection may sometimes be limited or intermittent.

Tambopata is one of the most biodiverse areas in the world. Depending on season and conditions, you may see giant river otters, caimans, monkeys, turtles, tropical birds, butterflies, frogs, and other Amazon wildlife.

Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, but chances are high thanks to the lodge’s location.

Excursions are carried out in small groups of up to 8 people, always accompanied by 1 professional guide.
