Tour itinerary

All Glaciers Boat Tour

Pick up in El Calafate or meeting in Punta Bandera port

In the All Glaciers Boat Tour, you can choose as an extra "round trip transfer from El Calafate", in this case, we will be picked up at our hotel in El Calafate around 7:00 am and we will head to the port of Punta Banderas which is 47 km (29.2 miles) away. If you prefer, you can go directly to the port, we will meet you there at 8:30 a.m.

Upsala Canal 🚢

At 8:30 a.m. we will start boarding and we will be informed about safety rules and sailing conditions. We are ready for departure, the boat will start its journey at 9:00 a.m. We will sail along the North Arm of Lake Argentino. We will sail along the North Arm of Lake Argentino and reach the Upsala Channel, where we will be able to admire the incredible views of the Upsala Glacier.

Seco Glacier and Spegazzini 🚢

We will continue along the Spegazzini Channel, and on the way we will be able to see the Seco Glacier, the hanging glacier that does not touch the water. We will see the Spegazzini Glacier, which has the title of the highest glacier in the national park. 

🍽️ If you have selected as an extra the meal you will be able to enjoy it on the ship or if you choose as an extra the premium lounge you will enjoy a special four-course menu.

Spegazzini Shelter Disembarkation

We will make a stop at the Spegazzini Refuge and from there we will take a short hike. On our way, we will discover the Andean-Patagonian forest. At the end of our hike, we will return to the ship.

Return

Our All Glaciers Boat Tour is coming to an end, we will head to Punta Bandera Private Port. Our ship will dock around 3:30 p.m. closing this incredible adventure. If you have selected the extra round-trip transfer from El Calafate we will return you to your hotel.

Where does the tour All Glaciers Boat Tour start

The city of El Calafate is located 3,000 km from Buenos Aires, and 325 km from the city of Río Gallegos, capital of the province of Santa Cruz. The airport has direct daily connections with Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Bariloche, Trelew, Cordoba and Rosario. Several airlines operate this route, being Aerolineas Argentinas the most frequent one. From Howlanders we also recommend you to check LADE airline. 

If you want to arrive by land you can do it by bus. The trip between Buenos Aires and El Calafate takes about 36 hours. From Río Gallegos, the trip takes 4 hours. If you come from Puerto Natales we recommend you to take a bus that arrives to El Calafate in about five hours or hire a private service with us. Finally, if you are traveling from Ushuaia, please check the waiting times due to the crossing of the Strait of Magellan or stopover in Rio Gallegos.
