Torres del Paine W Trek of several days
You will see that there are different versions of the original W Trek route. The original route is the 5-day route, where you stay at the main lodges. The 6-day route includes additional accommodations that allow you to do activities in Grey. On the other hand, the 4-day and shorter routes do not use any of the accommodations, so you will only travel part of the original W Trek.
Differences between the W Trek and the O Circuit in Torres del Paine
While in the W Trek you only visit the southern part of the park, in the O Circuit you start visiting the northern part to finally visit the southern part, exactly the same that is visited during the W Trek. You can read this post in our blog in which we explain in detail the differences between the W Trek Torres del Paine and the O Circuit.
What to bring to the W Trek Torres del Paine?
Visiting Torres del Paine for one of the multi-day trekking circuits requires good planning and carrying the essentials in your backpack. Carrying too much weight will worsen your experience and make the trek much more difficult, while a very light backpack can be a consequence of not having taken everything you need with you and you will end up missing certain things. We have written a post in our blog in which we tell you everything you should bring to Torres del Paine.
