Questions & Answers

  • How is the accommodation where we will sleep for the 2 nights?

Accommodation is in new, high-quality 3-person tents located at the Pehoé campsite. Tents are not shared with other travelers in the group. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll have a tent just for you. If you’re traveling as a couple, you’ll share a tent between the two of you.

  • Do I need to bring any camping equipment?

No need to bring anything—everything is ready for your arrival. Your tent will already be set up and fully equipped with a mat, sleeping bag, and everything you need for a well-deserved rest.

  • Where is the accommodation located?

You’ll sleep at the same base every night, located at the Lago Pehoé campsite. In addition to the tents, there’s a private dome set up just for the group. This is where you’ll prepare your lunch boxes in the morning and where you can relax, chat, or unwind in the evenings. The dome is spacious, with room for up to 20 people.

  • Will I lose a lot of time commuting each day?

Not at all. On Day 1, the return to the campsite is just 20 minutes. On Days 2 and 3, it’s 15 minutes by minibus plus a short catamaran ride—less than 30 minutes each way. And believe us, the boat ride is a highlight of the experience. The campsite’s location is hard to beat.

  • How many people are in the group?

There’s a maximum of 20 people per group, with one guide for every five participants. The group stays together throughout the tour, so you'll get to know your fellow hikers over the course of the experience.

  • What if there are people in my group who walk at a different pace?

No worries—since there’s one guide for every five people, the group can be divided if needed. If there’s a large gap in finishing times, the driver will make multiple trips to avoid unnecessary waiting. The guides, driver, and base are always in radio communication to stay coordinated.

  • How is the food?

One of the highlights of this tour is its focus on local cuisine. Breakfast is buffet-style, lunch is a customizable lunch box you prepare in the morning, and dinner includes regional dishes such as lamb or salmon. Vegetarian options and other dietary needs can be accommodated—just let us know in advance.

  • Where will the breakfasts and dinners be during the tour?

Breakfast and dinner will be served in the restaurant at Camping Pehoé.

  • Does the guide always go with the group?

Yes, your guide will accompany you on all hikes starting from Day 1. There’s one guide for every five people. If your group has six participants, you’ll have a lead guide and an assistant guide.

  • Is this tour better than the classic W staying each night in a different part of the park?

It depends on what you’re looking for. This Torres del Paine tour with guide offers more comfort and less logistical hassle—you return to the same base every night, sleep in a quieter area, and avoid carrying your full backpack each day. Plus, you enjoy the experience with a consistent group and dedicated guides. It’s an ideal option for those who want to hike the highlights of the W Circuit with expert guidance and added comfort.
