Riviera Maya tours
Riviera Maya may be the best-known place in all of Mexico, but it is much more than just sun and beach. Howlanders Riviera Maya tours will allow you to discover the Mayan culture from beginning to end, live real adventures, and get to know a little more about Mexican nature.
Located in the Yucatan Peninsula, the Riviera Maya reflects a spectacular landscape, with crystal clear waters, great weather, and many tours to live the full experience. Ready?
Chichen Itza tour
To do the Chichen Itza tour is sure one of the ideas marked on your itinerary. These incredible ruins are one of the greatest symbols of Mayan culture, and one of the 7 wonders of the modern world.
With Howlanders, you can visit the famous Chichen Itza and the Sacred Cenote in a sunrise tour, or in a complete tour where you can also visit Valladolid, one of the most beautiful towns in the area.
Did you know that for the Mayas the cenotes were a portal to the underworld? They even performed rituals and sacrifices! It's one of the Riviera Maya tours that you should do if you visit the country.
Sian Ka'an Tour
Nearby is the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, also known as the gateway to heaven on Earth. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a true paradise.
A Sian Ka tour is an amazing experience for any nature lover who adores the flora, fauna, and 120 km of crystal clear water to walk along with dolphins and turtles 🐬.
Time in Riviera Maya
When you take any of the Riviera Maya tours, you must take into account the time change 🕐. Although the regions are very close to each other, in the Yucatan Peninsula there are two time zones in winter.
During daylight saving time (March to October) 🌞 you will have no problem because the time zone is the same in the Yucatan Peninsula. However, for the rest of the year, there is a one-hour difference between Quintana Roo and Yucatan. That is, if you are in Cancun and visit Chichen Itza, you will have to change your watch for one hour.
