Discover the Mayan ruins and the Caribbean Sea before anyone
From the meeting point in Cancun between 5:00 a.m. and 6:10 a.m. or from the meeting point in Riviera Maya between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. ⚠️ [See all meeting points and times in the Important Information section below]
At the same meeting point in Riviera Maya starting at 6:00 p.m. or at the same meeting point in Cancun starting at 7:00. p.m.
This is such a tough question! We must say -both are a must on your visit to Mexico-. Both are world-famous Mayan ruins, but the kind of tourist attractions and the type of activities you can do there are quite different. In Tulum, you can visit the ruins and spend free time on the beach. In addition, you will be at your accommodation by 3 p.m. and you can use the rest of the day for another activity. Chichen Itza, is also worth a visit and you can combine it with a visit to a cenote.
Our recommendation is: make time to do both activities because they're really worth it.
