On this Perito Moreno Glacier 2-Day Cruise you will discover the magic of the southern Patagonian ice in a legendary expedition. This is the overnight version of Glaciares Gourmet Boat Tour and for that reason you will go aboard the exclusive Santa Cruz cruise ship where you will have all the services you need as it includes all meals and beverages as well as the English/Spanish bilingual guide. You will spend the night in a private cabin on Lake Argentino where you will have the highest comfort and the best quality in gastronomy to make the experience unique.
The tour will start with embarkation at La Soledad port at 6 pm, or with pick up at your accommodation in El Calafate (optional as an extra) and will take you to the incredible Perito Moreno glacier, whose ruptures are an incomparable natural spectacle.
On the Perito Moreno Glacier 2-Day Cruise you will also disembark at different points of Los Glaciares National Park that will surprise you with their beauty and history.

The ship has 20 exterior double cabins with private bathroom divided into Standard Deluxe and Premium rooms.
At the time of booking you will be able to select the type of room you want according to availability.
Please note that this cruise is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

DAY1 El Calafate- Puerto de La Soledad- Bahía del Toro
Boarding time at La Soledad port : 6pm

Seno Mayo and night in Bahía del Toro
Once on board, you will be able to relax and enjoy all the amenities on board, such as the restaurant, the library or the lobby where you can have a drink while enjoying the scenery. We will pass by Alemana Bay and continue through the Seno Mayo of Lake Argentino, one of the wettest areas of Los Glaciares National Park, so the vegetation you will see will be totally different from the rest of the Park.
Afterwards, we will have dinner and spend the night in Bahía del Toro. Enjoy a night of rest away from the city where silence and calm will be the only protagonists.

El Calafate- Soledad Port
Our adventure on this 2-day Perito Moreno Glacier Cruise starts in El Calafate or directly at the port of La Soledad, depending on the chosen modality.
The pick up time at your accommodation in El Calafate will be around 4pm and the trip to the port from where the boat departs will take us about an hour.
If you do not want a transfer, we will meet you directly at the port of La Soledad.
Boarding will begin at 6pm.

DAY 2 Icebergs Channel - Perito Moreno Glacier
Canal de los Témpanos
You will start your day with a good breakfast that will fill you with energy for the rest of the day. Later, we will disembark for a visit to the Toro Bay and hike in the Andean-Patagonian forest where you will enjoy the natural scenery and several waterfalls. This hike will last approximately one hour.
Afterwards, we will return to the ship and head to the Canal de los Témpanos, to contemplate the purest water of the glacier in its maximum expression, an incomparable landscape!

Perito Moreno Glacier
We will continue our journey to our last stop; the Perito Moreno Glacier. Here, we will disembark again and take a short walk along the walkways of the Perito Moreno Glacier. We will return to the ship and sail along the north face of the glacier.
This will be the ideal moment to have lunch and enjoy the most exquisite gastronomy offered by the ship's restaurant while we head back through the Icebergs Channel.

Return to El Calafate
The cruise will end with disembarkation at 4 pm at the same point where we started the tour; Puerto de la Soledad.

What to bring to Perito Moreno Glacier 2-Day Cruise tour
In this region of Patagonia winds prevail throughout the year, especially in the glacier area, so we recommend that you go well wrapped up with several layers for the stretches where you disembark to see glaciers.
We also recommend that you bring:
- Original passport
- Hiking boots or sneakers. Try to make them waterproof and with thick soles.
- Sunglasses
- Hat or cap
- Gloves (expedition gloves if possible)
- Sunscreen
- Lip balm
- Waterproof raincoat

Where does the tour Perito Moreno Glacier 2-Day Cruise start
The tour offers 2 different options:
1- Tour with pick up: includes transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate to La Soledad port where the embarkation will take place + return transfer from La Soledad port to your accommodation in El Calafate.
2- Tour without pick up: you will have to go directly to La Soledad port. However, it does include the return transfer from La Soledad port to your accommodation in El Calafate.

The city of El Calafate is located 3,000 km from Buenos Aires, and 325 km from the city of Rio Gallegos, capital of the province of Santa Cruz. The airport has direct daily connections with Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Bariloche, Trelew, Cordoba and Rosario. Several airlines operate this route, being Aerolineas Argentinas the most frequent one. From Howlanders we also recommend you to check LADE airline.
If you want to arrive by land you can do it by bus. The trip between Buenos Aires and El Calafate takes about 36 hours. From Río Gallegos, the trip takes 4 hours. If you come from Puerto Natales we recommend you to take a bus that arrives to El Calafate in about five hours or hire a private service with us. Finally, if you are traveling from Ushuaia, check the waiting times due to the crossing of the Strait of Magellan or stopover in Rio Gallegos.

Are meals included?
Yes, all meals are included as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
What time is boarding at Puerto de la Soledad?
Boarding will take place at 6pm so please arrive half an hour before.
Does the cruise include an open bar?
No, the open bar is not included. Only the drinks that accompany the meals are included. All other drinks can be consumed and paid for directly at the ship's bar.
