Easter Island

You begin the tour at the airport of Easter Island, where your guide will be waiting for you to take you to the hotel. We will check in and you'll have the rest of the day to go explore. It is recommended that you take a walk around the island on our own and familiarizing yourself with the wonderful surroundings on this unique island.

After your breakfast you'll leave the hotel to begin an intense day. To start off you will visit the archaeological place Ahu Te Pito Kura. This particular site is facing the bay where the only fallen Moai has remained through the trials of time. Next to this location is the famous magnetic stone that not only drives compasses crazy, but is also believed to possess a magnetic and supernatural energy called manna. It is viewed as a location of great spiritual value.

Your next stop will be the imposing Rano Raraku volcano. The former quarry and workshop of the ancient Rapa Nui, where all the Moai of the island were made. After this excursion, you will then enjoy a delicious snack at Ahu Tongariki, which is considered to be the largest ceremonial structure on the island. There, 15 imposing Moai are sitting in row, creating a picture that will hypnotize you completely.

Finally, you will travel to the ancient ceremonial platform known as Ahu Akahang. Here you will be able to enjoy some free time to explore this scenic location and relax on the incredible Anakena beach.

After breakfast you will leave the hotel and go to the place, which formerly housed the important competitions of bird men in ancient times. These celebrations took place on the slope of the Rano Kau volcano. This place has a great cultural and spiritual value and once you stand on the rocks, it is easy to understand why the locals chose this place for their customs. We will also enter the Ana Kai Tangata cave, which to this day, holds original rock paintings of the ancient inhabitants of the island.

Later you will explore three other archaeological sites of great historical and cultural value such as the underground cave of Ana Te Pahu, the Ahu Akivi platform with seven restored Moai statues, and the Puna a Pau quarry, which is a crater formed by an ancient volcano. At the end of the day, after visiting all these spectacular places you will return to your hotel to eat dinner, rest and enjoy your last night on the island.

Before departing from the island, you will be provided breakfast at the hotel. According to your flight schedule you will be transferred to the airport where you will board your plane and say goodbye to this special place. As you leave the magical Easter Island your exciting adventure through the rich history and locations comes to an end.
