Important information
No previous experience is required to do the snorkeling activity but it is essential to know how to swim to be able to do the tour.
The temperature of the water in the area where the snorkeling will take place allows the activity to be done without a wetsuit all year round.
🗓️ The Plazas Galapagos Islands daily tour has confirmed departures every Wednesday and Sunday. Departures on other days of the week are subject to availability.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation! If you cancel at least 15 days before the tour starts, you will receive 100% of the amount paid. After this time, or in case of no-show on the day of the tour, your reservation will be considered a no-show and no refunds will be given.
Due to weather conditions and/or operational problems of force majeure, the local agency may change the itinerary to other destinations or cancel the departure of the tour. This change will always be made with prior notice to the traveler who may accept the change of itinerary, as well as request the rescheduling of the tour for another date or a full refund of the payment.

📍 Pick up at your accommodation.
The South Plazas Island Galapagos tour will start with a pick up at your accommodation in Santa Cruz from 7 am. Once the whole group is gathered, you will board the boat that will take you to Plazas Sur.
South Plazas
Once you arrive, you will disembark and observe the sea lions. And here you will start a hike on a trail through a forest full of opuntia cactus 🌵. You will walk next to an amazing and windy cliff observing different species such as red-billed tropicbirds, swallow-tailed gulls, brown pelicans and some frigate bird.
🍴 Lunch on board
It's time to replenish your strength after the hike. You will have lunch on board one of the options chosen in your reservation (fish, chicken, vegetarian or vegan).
🤿 Snorkeling in Punta Carrión
Put on your snorkeling gear and jump in the water! Enjoy this time snorkeling and most likely you will see white tip sharks, different fish, sea turtles and rays. After this dip, you will return to the Itabaca channel where the bus will be waiting for you to take you to Puerto Ayora where the South Plazas Island Galapagos tour will end around 4:00 p.m.
