Tour itinerary

DAY 1 Geysir Geothermal Area - Thingvellir National Park

Geysir Geothermal Area

The Iceland 3-Day Tour: South Coast & Golden Circle starts with pick up in Reykjavik from your hotel or nearest bus stop. Our adventure begins by touring the famous Golden Circle with the Geysir geothermal area as our first stop. Although it no longer erupts, it is the geyser that gives its name to all the others. But don't worry, Strokkur erupts every 5 minutes and reaches heights of up to 35 meters. We continue with the Gullfoss waterfall of Iceland, which gives its name to this route, as its name translates as "Golden Waterfall". On a sunny day you can enjoy the scenery offered by the Langjökull glacier.

Thingvellir National Park

And to close this circle, our last stop is Thingvellir National Park, home to the largest lake on the island, the Icelandic parliament and a unique geographical formation given by its location between two tectonic plates. Our 3-day tour of Iceland has only just begun. At the end of the day, we will head to our accommodation, a 3-star hotel with private bathroom, where we will rest to continue our adventure.

DAY 2 Seljalandsfoss - Skógafoss - Skaftafell National Park

Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss Waterfalls

After breakfast, we will continue our adventure exploring waterfalls and glaciers. Grab your camera because a second day of film awaits us. Our first stop is the Seljalandsfoss waterfall with 65 meters high and incredible views. If you bring a raincoat you can explore the cave that hides when crossing it. Not far away, the Skógafoss waterfall falls from 60 meters high, breaking the path of the Skóga River on its way to the Atlantic. There are hidden stairs that allow you to climb to the top and enjoy its picturesque views.

Hiking on a glacier: Skaftafell or Sólheimajökull

It's time to gear up because we continue to Vatnajökull, Iceland's largest glacier. It is home to Skaftafell National Park, where we will hike on its glacier. If you have seen Game of Thrones, get ready to travel beyond the wall because it was filmed in Skaftafell. But it doesn't end here, we will travel to our hotel in the southeast where our guide will take us to hunt for Northern Lights in Iceland. Get ready for a magical and unique experience.

DAY 3 Jökulsárlón - Diamond Beach - Reynisfjara - Reykjavík

Jökulsárlón Lagoon

After a night's rest, we will head to some of Iceland's most magical places. Our first stop is Jökulsárlón, a 200-meter deep glacial lagoon formed by the melting of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, a tongue of the gigantic Vatnajökull. Here, huge icebergs float slowly southward, creating an otherworldly landscape. We will board an amphibious boat to navigate among the icebergs and get close to these impressive floating ice masses. A unique experience in direct contact with the arctic nature.

Diamond Beach

A few meters from the lagoon, the icebergs reach the Atlantic and are returned to the shore by the waves. At Diamond Beach, ice blocks of different shapes and shades of blue glitter on the black volcanic sand, creating a spectacular contrast.
