There are several hikes, the longest is about 1 hour and a half. It is recommended to be in good physical condition.
There are four customs crossings (two there and two back) and many hours of transfer, so it is not recommended for small children.

Pick up in El Calafate
The tour will start with the pick up at your accommodation in El Calafate at 6:30 A.M.. Once the whole group is together, you will head to Torres del Paine National Park, crossing the Cancha Carrera border through a gravel road. You are already in Chile!

Torres del Paine
After customs and immigration formalities, the guide will be waiting for you to drive the last 80 km to Torres del Paine National Park.
During the visit to the Chilean lands, you will visit different main attractions such as the Sarmiento de Gamboa Lake Viewpoint, the Paine River Falls, the upper viewpoint of Almirante Nieto Hill/Cuernos del Paine and the entrance to Laguna Amarga.

Torres del Paine National Park
Once inside the park, you can start trekking along the different trails accompanied by your guide. It's time for lunch! The guide will give you a box lunch that you can enjoy next to the views of the Torres del Paine.

Cuernos del Paine Viewpoint
After lunch, you will start a trail from Salto Grande with your guide. It is a low difficulty trek of 1 hour and a half to the Cuernos del Paine Viewpoint by the Nordenskjold Lake.
Pehoé Lake
You will board the vehicle and head towards Lake Pehoé, the last viewpoint with wonderful views of the Cuernos del Paine and the French Valley. Take advantage of this moment to take amazing pictures of the park.

Return to El Calafate
After visiting the Torres del Paine National Park, you will take the road back to El Calafate, getting to know the flora and fauna of the Chilean Patagonia. The Day trip to Torres del Paine from El Calafate will come to an end around 9:30 P.M.

Where does the tour Day trip to Torres del Paine from El Calafate start
The city of El Calafate is located 3,000 km from Buenos Aires, and 325 km from the city of Río Gallegos, capital of the province of Santa Cruz. The airport has direct daily connections with Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, Bariloche, Trelew, Cordoba and Rosario. Several airlines operate this route, being Aerolineas Argentinas the most frequent one. If you want to arrive by land you can do it by bus. The trip between Buenos Aires and El Calafate takes about 36 hours. From Río Gallegos, the trip takes 4 hours. If you come from Puerto Natales we recommend you to take a bus that arrives to El Calafate in about five hours or hire a private service with us. Finally, if you are traveling from Ushuaia, please check the waiting times due to the crossing of the Strait of Magellan or stopover in Rio Gallegos.
