Tour itinerary
DAY 1 ➡ Santa Marta - Riohacha - Manaure - Cabo de la Vela
The adventure begins 🚍
Our Tour Cabo de la Vela Punta Gallinas starts with a pick up at our hotel to head to Riohacha, stopping for breakfast and rest from the trip. From there, we will go to Uribía to enjoy a panoramic tour and continue our trip to Manaure. There, we will be shown the salt harvesting process and we will be told about the culture and customs of the area.
Direction Cabo de la Vela
We will continue our trip through the Auyama desert towards Cabo de la Vela and depending on the weather, we will make a short stop in San Martin or Puerto Bolivar. We will have lunch at the Wayuu lodge and visit the Pilon de Azucar with beautiful views of the sea at sunset. We will return to the Wayuu lodge for dinner and sleep in hammocks.
DAY 2 ➡ Cabo de la Vela - Dunas de Taroa - Punta Gallinas
From Taroa Dunes to Punta Gallinas Lighthouse
After breakfast we will visit the Taroa Dunes to take a refreshing swim and take pictures of this beautiful place. Then we will go to Punta Gallinas to have lunch and visit Bahia Honda, Bahia Hondita, Punta Aguja and Punta Gallinas Lighthouse. After these incredible visits we will enjoy a typical dinner and sleep in hammocks at the Wayuu lodge.
DAY 3 ➡ Punta Gallinas - Uribía - Riohacha - Santa Marta
After breakfast, we will head to Uribía to take a last look at the wonders of the place and have lunch. After a short break, we will return to the Malecon of Riohacha where we will have free time to explore and buy typical handicrafts of the area. Around 15:00 we will leave Riohacha to return to our lodging and finish the tour Cabo de la Vela Punta Gallinas.
