Punta Gallinas is one of the most spectacular places in the world due to its landscapes, culture and natural sites. Get to know the culture of the Wayuu people and their way of life, and marvel at this small paradisiacal place away from society. During these days in paradise you will visit authentic places such as the Pilón de Azúcar, the Auyama desert, the Taroa Dunes or the Faro Punta Gallinas.

Tour itinerary

todayDÍA 1 Santa Marta - Riohacha - Manaure - Cabo de la Vela

Guides will pick us up at our hotel to go to Palomino or Riohacha, stopping to have breakfast and take a break from the drive. From Riohacha we will go to Uribía to enjoy a panoramic tour and continue our trip to Manaure. There, they will teach us the process of collecting salt and talk to us about the culture and customs of the area.
We will continue our journey through the Auyama desert in the direction of Cabo de la Vela, and depending on the weather, we will make a short stop in San Martín or Puerto Bolívar. We will eat lunch at the Wayuu Posada and visit the Pilón de Azúcar with beautiful views of the sea at sunset. We will return to the Wayuu Posada to have dinner and then sleep in hammocks.

todayDÍA 2 Cabo de la Vela - Taroa Dunes - Punta Gallinas

Taroa Dunes - Faro Punta Gallinas After breakfast, we will visit the Taroa Dunes to take a refreshing bath and take pictures of this beautiful place. Next, we will go to Punta Gallinas to eat lunch and tour the Honda Bay, Hondita Bay, Punta Aguja and Faro Punta Gallinas. After these incredible visits, we will enjoy a typical dinner and sleep another night in the hammocks in the Wayuu Posada.

todayDÍA 3 Punta Gallinas - Puerto Bolívar - Uribía - Riohacha - Santa Marta

Following our breakfast, we will go to Uribía to take a last look at the wonders of this beautiful place and eat lunch. After a brief break, we will return to Malecón de Riohacha where we will have free time to check out, and if you want, buy, typical handicrafts of the area. At about 3:00 p.m., we will leave Riohacha to return to the accommodation and finish the tour.
