Tours Arequipa

Arequipa is considered the White City of Peru, and is the second most populated city in the country. In addition, the historic centre is a World Heritage Site and not for nothing. Just walking around here is amazing, but you can add even more excitement to your trip with the best tours from Arequipa.

Colca Canyon Arequipa

The Colca Canyon tour is one of the most requested tours from Arequipa by travellers. This place is the fourth deepest canyon on the Earth! 😦 It is also known as the Valley of Wonders - aren't you curious to find out why? It's the third most visited place in Peru for a reason.

In Arequipa's Colca Canyon, you'll find an Andean landscape surrounded by volcanoes, llamas and alpacas. With a bit of luck, you might even see the well-known "king of the Andes", the Andean condor. Don't leave Arequipa without visiting the Colca Canyon, a must on your trip to Peru.

What to see in Arequipa

If you have already enjoyed the tours from Arequipa, we recommend you to discover the city. The main attraction is the historic centre, where every alleyway is an eye-catcher. You should also stroll around the Plaza de Armas, a perfect place to eat in Arequipa. You should try the chupe de camarones (shrimp chowder) or the ocopa arequipeña (Arequipa octopus), delicious!

Another essential visit is the San Camilo Market, where you will find local products at very good prices. Finally, don't miss the Monastery of Santa Catalina, which looks more like a red-tinted city than a religious centre, and it's curious.

Arequipa weather

In general, the climate in Arequipa is temperate and rarely rises above 73,4 ºF (23 ºC) or falls below 44,6 ºF (7 ºC). In summer (December to March) there is more rainfall and winters (June - September) are quite dry.

To be more precise, the warmest month of the year is November, when the average temperature is 59 ºF (15ºC), and July is the coldest month, with an average temperature of 56,6 ºF (12 ºC). As you can see, there is not much difference.
