Tour itinerary
DAY 1 Iquitos - Iquitos rainforest
Meals: Lunch and dinner
Pick up in Iquitos
Your guide will meet you at the Iquitos airport or at your hotel in the city. From there, you’ll head to the local agency office, located in the heart of Iquitos, to begin your Amazon experience.
Transfer to the Lodge
You’ll then take a short drive to the port of Iquitos, where you'll board a speedboat that departs at 9:30 AM. The journey will take you directly to your lodge in the Yanamono Communal Reserve. This marks the official start of your adventure in one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where the Amazon rainforest awaits to surprise you at every turn.

Monkey Island
During the boat ride, you’ll have the chance to witness the famous "Wedding of the Rivers", where the Nanay River meets the majestic Amazon in a spectacular natural display. Before reaching the lodge, you’ll stop at Monkey Island, a conservation area dedicated to protecting endangered monkey species native to the Amazon.
Check-in at the lodge
After the visit, the boat ride continues to the lodge, where you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink made from local exotic fruits. Check-in takes place at 1:00 PM, when you'll be shown to your room. Shortly after, you’ll head to the dining area to enjoy your first Amazonian lunch, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the jungle.
Iquitos Jungle Walk
In the afternoon, you’ll venture into the Amazon rainforest on a guided hike of approximately two hours. With your local guide, you’ll explore the region’s extraordinary biodiversity, identifying a wide variety of plant and animal species. You may spot birds like the Turkey Vulture or the Black-fronted Nunbird, as well as small groups of monkeys in their natural habitat.
Free time at the Lodge
After the hike, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy some well-deserved rest. You can relax in the hammocks overlooking the Amazon, take a refreshing dip in the pool, or unwind in your room—perhaps reading from the comfort of your hammock, surrounded by the sounds and calm of the jungle.

Night boat ride
After dark, you’ll embark on a fascinating open boat ride along one of the Amazon River’s tributaries. As you navigate through the stillness of the jungle, you’ll be immersed in a unique and unforgettable atmosphere. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of a shooting star, a common sight in this remote region free from light pollution.
At the end of this magical experience beneath the Amazonian sky, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner and relax in your private room after a day full of jungle adventures.

DAY 2 Iquitos jungle
Meals: Full board
Amazon Bird watching
The second day of the Amazon Iquitos Tour will begin early in the morning with a guided bird watching excursion led by a local expert. During the outing, you’ll have the chance to observe a variety of species, including the Tuki (Jacana jacana), the Ringed Kingfisher (Ceryle torquata), and the Black-collared Hawk (Busarellus nigricollis), among many others.
After this peaceful start to the day, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a hearty breakfast surrounded by the sights and sounds of the jungle.

Yaguas Community
After breakfast, you’ll visit the Yaguas community, where you’ll learn about their culture, customs, and ancestral traditions. You’ll also have the chance to try the pucuna (blowgun), a traditional hunting tool used for generations in the Amazon.
At the end of the visit, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a typical Amazonian lunch and take some time to relax before the afternoon activities.

Artisanal fishing expedition
In the afternoon, accompanied by your local guide, you’ll embark on an artisanal fishing expedition along one of the Amazon River’s tributaries. You’ll learn traditional fishing techniques, including how to catch piranhas — a classic activity in the region. With a bit of luck, you might even bring back a catch to the lodge, where it can be specially prepared for your dinner.
Amazon Pink dolphins
During the excursion, you’ll also have the chance to spot the majestic pink river dolphins (Inia geoffrensis), one of the Amazon’s most iconic species. After this unique experience, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the jungle.

Night walk through the jungle
After sunset, you’ll head out into the jungle surrounding the lodge to witness its remarkable transformation after dark. Guided by your expert, you’ll explore the mysterious world of nocturnal wildlife, completely different from what you've seen during the day.
After approximately 30 minutes, you’ll return to the lodge to rest and recharge for the final day of your Amazon adventure.

DAY 3 Iquitos jungle - Iquitos
Meals: Breakfast and lunch
Yanamono Island - Victoria Regia
After breakfast, you’ll board a boat bound for a tranquil lake on Yanamono Island, where you’ll have the chance to admire the majestic Victoria Regia, known as the queen of the water lilies. Its impressive size and delicate beauty make it one of the most iconic natural spectacles of the Amazon.

Lunch at the lodge and return to Iquitos.
You’ll return to the lodge to enjoy your final Amazonian lunch and get your luggage ready for departure. Check-out is at 12:00 PM, so you’ll need to vacate your room before lunch.
