Important information
🏨 Hotel pick-up: the pick-up will be between 8 and 10 a.m. (the exact pick-up time will be confirmed a few days before the tour starts).
🛬 Airport pick-up: the guide will be waiting for you at the airport when you land. For logistical reasons, you may wait together up to a maximum of 60 minutes to pick up other travelers.
🪫The lodge has electricity from 6 to 9 pm.

Tour itinerary
DAY 1 City of Iquitos - Transfer to the jungle lodge
Pick up in the city of Iquitos
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel or at the airport in the city of Iquitos at the indicated time.
If you prefer the guide to pick you up at the airport, remember to indicate your flight details and arrival time when booking.
Transfer to the lodge
In the company of your guide, you will head to Nauta on a 2-hour drive by road. Once there, you will take the boat that will take you to the lodge, located on the banks of the Ucayali River, in front of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. On the way you will pass the point where the Ucayali River and the Marañon River meet, considered the birthplace of the Amazon River.
Take advantage of the boat ride (about 3 hours long) to discover all the activities you can do in the Iquitos Jungle and plan your itinerary with the guide.
Arrival at Iquitos Jungle Lodge
After a 3-hour boat ride, you will arrive at the lodge. You will settle into your private room and after lunch, the Amazon adventure begins!
🐬 Swim with pink dolphins.
We will take advantage of the afternoon to take a boat ride, enjoying the sunset and swimming close to the pink dolphins. We will return to the lodge for dinner and in the evening we will go on an expedition in search of nocturnal animals.
DAY 2 Iquitos Jungle
🌿 Jungle walk
After having breakfast and getting our strength back, we will start our second day in Iquitos with a jungle walk. You will be able to appreciate first hand the spectacular nature of the Amazon while the guide explains everything our eyes see.
🐒 Bird and monkey watching
We will return to the lodge for lunch, you will have time to rest and later we will go out by boat for bird watching. We will approach an area where we will see monkeys, if we are lucky, some will even approach the boat to say hello.
🐊 Night boat expedition to see caimans
We will return to the lodge to enjoy a relaxing dinner and then we will have the chance to go out in the boats to look for caimans with our flashlights and see in the darkness of the night the reflection of their bright and lively eyes. Quite an adventure!
DAY 3 Iquitos Jungle
🎣 Piranha fishing
After breakfast at the lodge, we will leave once again with the boats to continue discovering the beautiful virgin nature of the Iquitos jungle. Today we will have ahead of us a unique activity that you can only do in the Amazon : fishing for piranhas.
🌙 Night walk to see nocturnal animals
And after the beautiful sunset, we will go out around the lodge with flashlights to discover the nocturnal animals of the jungle. Soak up every sound and experience the Amazon as we had never imagined.
DAY 4 Iquitos jungle - Return to the city of Iquitos
🛶 Boat ride
Last day in the jungle! We will wake up early to enjoy the sounds of the jungle during the morning, which is when the animals are most active. After breakfast we will get on the boats and go for our last boat ride. Together with the guide, we will go in search of the impressive Amazonian Victorias, the giant water lilies.
📍 Return to Iquitos city
We will return to the lodge for lunch, pick up our luggage and at 2:00 PM we will head to Iquitos in the boat with the guide. You will be able to choose where you want the transportation to take you. Either to your accommodation in the city of Iquitos or to the airport to take your flight back.

The most comfortable and safe way to reach Iquitos is by plane, since it is not connected to the road-network of the rest of the country. The majority of travelers arrives from Lima, where several airlines operate. Latam airline, however, is the only one that offers direct flights between Cusco and Iquitos.
