The astronomical tour is a simple and easy to understand activity for all astrotourism lovers. Tonight we will be amateurs sharing the same hobby: observing the stars on La Palma. If you select the extra Transport from and to your accommodation, the activity will start with the pick up at your hotel. The private transport will start its tour outside the main hotels on La Palma at 8:00 p.m.
Once the whole group is reunited, around 8:30 p.m. we will go to the Astronomical Viewpoint of Llano del Jable. If you have not included the extra pick-up point in your booking, this is where we will meet. And now that we're all here, let's start! The Viewpoint is located in the village of El Paso, at an altitude of 1341 meters. From there, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Aridane Valley.
The Llano del Jable represents a special place for night-time observation of the sky. The clouds stay below 1300 meters, covering the already low light pollution of the valley. So from there you will contemplate a wonderful starry sky over a sea of clouds.
This viewpoint has an indicator pole that points to the North Star. Thanks to our different CELESTRON 800 XLT telescopes and the team of Starlight Guides that will accompany us, you will discover the sky of La Palma and all its secrets. Including a unique moment in the open air in your travel plans.
The skies in La Palma are clear and with very little light pollution so you will find yourself in front of a totally dark sky. The idyllic setting to see the stars in Spain. Visible planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters among others. Always from an amateur point of view and in a very simple and pleasant way for you to enjoy this astronomical tour.
After making the most of these 90 minutes of astronomical observation, we will also have time to take some night photographs. You will pose with the stars of La Palma in the background helped by our guides. After the observation, we will return to the comfort of our hotels in our private transport. Will you ever look at the sky in the same way?
