This Surf Camp in San Sebastian is perfect for any kind of surfer thanks to the fabulous instructors. We’ll surf in the Zarautz Beach, one of the best surfing beaches in the Basque Country and even Spain.

During this surf camp, you will have 2 hours of lessons per day in addition to other activities offered at the lodge. You can't miss it!

The camp has no set itinerary, as everything depends on the waves, the weather, your wishes and needs but don't worry, there is always something to do! Find out below how your day can be at the Surf Camp:

Arrival to the Surf Camp

We'll pick you up at the San Pelayo train station in Zarautz. Pick up times are at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. If these times do not match with your arrival, do not worry, simply inform us and we will arrange it.

If you are already in the Surf House, we'll wake up early to enjoy the day to the fullest. At 8:30 a.m. a delicious breakfast awaits us in the common area. While we fill our stomachs, we have time to read the surf report and prepare for the big day ahead.

Ready, set, go! We'll get into the van that will take us to Zarautz beach through Pagoeta Natural Park in less than 15 minutes. Ready for the waves?

Once on the beach, pick up your board and get ready to tame the waves. The surf instructors will give you 2 hours a day of lessons so that you can learn from scratch or improve your technique.

Depending on the day, we will eat on the beach enjoying the sun and sand. The other option is to return to the Surf House to fill our bellies with homemade food.

If after lunch you have energy and feel like relaxing with some more exercise, don't hesitate to join the yoga class that will take place on the terrace of the Surf House.

From this point on, you have the whole afternoon ahead of you to enjoy as you wish. You can take a short walk around the house, the location is perfect as it allows us to enjoy both the beach and the mountains.

Also, you can't miss the beautiful sunset while having a drink with your new friends, playing ping-pong or doing your best skating tricks on the house ramp.

Dinner will be served and we can all enjoy it together as a family. Once dinner is over, you have two options: you can go to bed and be rested for the following day, so you’re up to take the yoga class at sunrise and watch the sun rise over the mountains of the valley. If you prefer to move around at night, there are outings to Zarautz or San Sebastian to taste pintxos, discover the typical cider houses, or dance at a festival.

During your surfing experience, you will stay at the Surf House located next to Pagoeta Natural Park, only 15 minutes away from Zarauz Beach and less than 30 minutes from San Sebastian.

It is a house with all the necessary facilities for you to enjoy your experience to the full. Common areas, kitchen and terrace are at your disposal so that you can interact with the surfers you will meet there.

This program includes accommodation in a shared room.

You will receive a 90% refund of your booking if you cancel at least 91 days before the tour start date. Between 90 and 3 days prior to departure, you will be refunded 50% of the total amount. After that time, or if you do not show up, no refund will be given.

Where does the tour San Sebastian Surf Camp start

The San Sebastian Surf Camp starts at the San Pelayo station in Zarautz. If you fly to Bilbao, there are buses that leave from the airport every hour to San Pelayo station or you can also take the Euskotren. If you arrive by plane to Biarritz, the best option is to take a SNCF train to Hendaye and there take the Euskotren (located just outside the SNCF station) to San Pelayo Station. If your flight arrives at San Sebastian, you can take the E21 or E23 bus from the airport to Amara, and then take the Euskotren to San Pelayo station. If you arrive at the North Station of San Sebastian with Renfe, you can take the Euskotren to San Pelayo station. If you arrive in San Sebastian by bus, you can take the Euskotren to San Pelayo station on the opposite sidewalk.
