Iguazu Falls Brazil Tour + Macuco Safari
Duration: approx. 2 hours
Difficulty: easy
Pick up in Foz do Iguaçu
You will be picked up from your accommodation in Foz do Iguaçu in a minibus and travel with your guide and the rest of the group to Iguazu National Park. Since the city is relatively small and traffic is usually light, the pick-up route takes approximately 30 minutes.

Tour through the subtropical rainforest of Iguazu National Park
Upon arrival at Iguazu National Park, you will get off the minibus and board an electric vehicle similar to an ecological train. The excursion begins with a low-speed journey of approximately 1.86 miles (30–35 minutes) through the jungle. During the ride, your guides will share interesting facts about the vegetation, flora, and fauna of this unique natural environment.
At the end of the journey, you can choose to get off the train and take an optional walk of about 500 meters along nature trails to reach the funicular, or remain on board and continue directly to this point.

Descent by funicular and preparation for the boat ride
Whether you choose to arrive on foot or by train, from the upper section of the tour you will take a panoramic funicular that connects the jungle above with the base of the Iguazu River, covering the slope in a fast, safe, and accessible way.
Once you reach the lower platform, you will get off the funicular. Here you will find facilities to get ready before boarding the boat:
- Locker area to store your belongings
- Restrooms and relaxation areas
The team will provide you with a life jacket and share basic safety instructions. Afterward, you will head directly to the pier to board the boats, which depart approximately every 30 minutes.

Iguazu Falls Boat Tour
The adventure continues aboard a Zodiac boat. As you navigate along the Iguazu River, experienced pilots guide the boat with dynamic yet safe maneuvers, bringing you closer to the base of the waterfalls.
During this 20–30 minute experience, you will enjoy unique views of the Devil’s Throat and other iconic waterfalls. It’s an intense, fun, and truly unforgettable activity.
💡HOWLANDERS TIP: If you plan to take photos or videos during the tour, bring a waterproof case for your phone or a dry bag, as you will get wet due to the close proximity to the waterfalls.

Return to Foz do Iguaçu
After the boat tour, you will return to the dock and take the funicular back up to the service area. From there, you will board the Macuco Safari electric train again to reach the point where your guide will be waiting with the minibus to take you back to your accommodation in Foz do Iguaçu after this Iguazu Falls tour from Brazil with Macuco Safari.
