❌ Sailing may be canceled up to a few minutes before departure due to weather conditions.
🧳 Bulky luggage is not allowed on this tour.
📅 From May until August, the tour only operates on Wednesdays and Saturdays and departs at 8:00 am.
📅🚢 The 6:30 am pick-up shift takes the 9:00 am sailing, the 9:30 am shift takes the 12:00 pm sailing and the 12:30 pm shift takes the 3:00 pm sailing.
🚫This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility as it is a 45-minute walk.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation!
If you cancel more than 7 days before the start of the tour you will receive a full refund of the total amount of the reservation except 100 USD per person. After this time, or in case of no-show, you will not be entitled to a refund.
If the reservation is canceled due to bad weather, you will receive a full refund except 75 USD for the cost of the transfer. The transportation from Puerto Natales to Lago Grey Hotel is always done and the captain decides once there if it is safe to sail.
*Catamaran tickets are nominative and non-transferable.

Pick up in Puerto Natales
The guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales at the selected time. Together with the rest of the group, you will head towards Lago Grey Hotel, located inside Torres del Paine National Park. At this point, the whole group will check in for the navigation.
Walk to the boat
In the company of your guide, and after a few minutes transfer, you will begin a short walk of 30 to 45 minutes along the Grey beach until you reach the GREY III boat.
*Departure times are subject to availability. In high season (October-April) you can skip the walk and cross to the Catamaran in a boat provided by the hotel. The availability of the boat is subject to weather conditions and is only confirmed at the time of check-in. In low season (May-September) the boat is not available.

And now, yes, let's set sail! For about 3 hours you will navigate the grey lake aboard the GREY III navigation in the company of a professional guide, who will explain everything you will see. The glacier wall is not the only spectacle of nature, because as you approach the wall, the icebergs floating in the lake are larger, with very different shapes and colors.
In addition, the crew will offer you a pisco sour or a drink on board at no additional cost.
After the navigation, you will return to the pier, and again you will take a short walk along the Grey beach to the Lago Grey Hotel. There you will have some free time to have lunch at the hotel restaurant or just enjoy a little more of the wonderful views before taking the shuttle back to Puerto Natales.

Where does the tour Grey Glacier Boat Tour start
The tour starts in the city of Puerto Natales. If you are traveling from Santiago de Chile the best option is to take a flight to Punta Arenas, and from there you can take a bus that in only 3:15 hours will take you to the bus station in Puerto Natales or hire a private transportation service with us.
If you are traveling from El Calafate (Argentina), there are buses that connect directly to Puerto Natales in a 5 hour trip or you can book a private service with us.

What is the boat like?
The navigation takes place aboard the Grey III catamaran, which has a main cabin with seating for 98 people. In addition, it has an open-air deck where all passengers go out to appreciate the views.
Can I bring all my luggage on the tour?
No, on this tour you are not allowed to bring bulky luggage. From Howlanders we recommend you to take only what you need for the tour and leave the rest of the luggage at your accommodation in Puerto Natales.
Do I have to bring any documents?
