Cancellation policy
If you cancel at least 16 days before the tour starts, you will receive 50% of the amount paid. If you cancel at least 8 days before the tour starts, you will receive 20% of the amount paid. After this time, or in case of no-show, no refunds will be given.
Tour itinerary
DAY 1
Accommodation: Orquídeas de San Pedro Lodge
Departure from Cuzco and Paucartambo
The guide will pick us up at our hotel in Cusco between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m. to start our tour to Manu National Park from Cusco in 4 days. We will start our journey by road through the beautiful landscapes of inter-Andean valleys and local communities. We will visit the beautiful colonial town of Paucartambo and its picturesque main square which is considered a historical monument of Peru.
Cloud forest ☁️ and San Pedro Orchids
We will continue on the route and stop for lunch along the way. Our next destination is the Cloud Forest, home to numerous endemic species, such as the cock of the rock, declared the national bird of Peru. After being fascinated by these incredible landscapes we will head to the San Pedro Orchids Lodge, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
DAY 2
Accommodation: Erika Lodge
Cock of the Rocks, Koñeq and upper Madre de Dios rivers
Today we will wake up early to see the Cock of the Rock in its ritual dance to find a mate. After this natural spectacle, we will have breakfast and go to Pilcopata.
🚣Free of charge and optional, we can take a one hour canoe trip on the Koñeq and upper Madre de Dios rivers. Are you going to miss it?
Puerto Atalaya and Erika Lodge
Afterward in Puerto Atalaya, you will start the descent by boat from where you will have the chance to see incredible species of birds such as vultures, cormorants, and herons. You will arrive at the "Erika" Private Reserve and walk to the lodge where you will spend the night.
DAY 3
Accommodation: Erika Lodge
Machuwasi Lagoon 🐒🐊
After an early breakfast, we will start a hike through the Manu National Park. We will board the boat to cross the river and continue walking while the guide shows us the very interesting flora that grows in the place. We will arrive at the Machuwasi lagoon and board the canoes from where we will observe the hoatzin bird, monkeys, capybaras and even caimans.
Return to Erika Lodge and night walk
After dinner, we will take a night walk where we can observe the jungle life at night, full of sounds and different insects and amphibians among others.
DAY 4
Parrot Clay Lick 🦜
We will start our last day with an early breakfast and then take the boat to the parrot clay lick. We will see a clay wall where parrots come to scratch their salts and minerals.
Return to Cusco
We will return to the Erika lodge to pick up our things and head to Puerto de Atalaya, the end of our Manu National Park from Cusco tour. From here, we will take the bus that will take us back to Cusco.

Where does the tour Manu National Park from Cusco start
Cuzco is the main tourist city of Peru and is very well connected. If you plan to arrive from Lima, you can get to Cuzco by bus (24 hour trip) or take a one hour flight. You can choose between low cost airlines like Peruvian Airlines, LCP or StarPeru or full-service airlines like Latam and Avianca. If you plan to arrive from Arequipa the bus ride to Cuzco will roughly takes ten hours. Alternatively you can also arrive by plane, in this case, however, the only airline that offers direct flights is Latam Airlines. If you plan to arrive from Puno, the best option is to take a bus on a a six hour trip. We also offer the possibility to take a tourist bus route that stops in the most important places and landmarks along the way, leaving Puno at 7:00 am and arriving at Cuzco at 5:30 pm.
