Muir Woods National Monument

We’ll start our tour in Muir Woods, an old-growth Redwood forest that contains some of the tallest trees on the planet. These 1500-year old beauties soar nearly 90 meters over the valley floor. We’ll spend over an hour walking down paths that have been growing for centuries.

Local wine tasting

Our day will continue in the Sonoma wineries. After visiting the wonderful Muir Woods we’ll go to a small winery where we’ll enjoy some picnic-style snacks and taste local wines that can’t be found anywhere else in the world.

Next, we’ll head to Sonoma Square, where we’ll have two hours of free time to have lunch and explore the plaza. If we’re lucky we might also be able to access some extra tasting rooms to try local products like cheese, olive oil or chocolate. After lunch we’ll get together with the rest of the group to visit the last winery of the tour. We’ll have a private tour of the caves in this Californian ranch where we’ll learn about the winemaking process before tasting it.

Back to San Francisco

After spending the day in Sonoma visiting some of the tallest trees in the world and enjoying the Californian wine, we’ll head back to San Francisco. But not without making a stop in the Golden Gate Bridge to enjoy the beautiful Californian sun and, depending on the time of the year, we might be able to enjoy the sunset from the bridge. Don’t forget to bring your camera because you’ll want to take some pictures from this moment! After saying goodbye to the Golden Gate and to our group, we’ll take you back to your hotel. Hope to see you in your next adventure!
