Our Minitrekking experience was FANTASTIC.  The glacier is out of this world and the service by Howlanders from start to finish was excellent.  They communicated well, kept us up to date on the details of the day, and the guides at the glacier were attentive, fun, and informative.  We felt safe and had a GREAT time.  DEFINITELY recommend!!

Ice trekking was fantastic. You get enough time on the ice you don’t feel rushed but it is pretty easy difficulty level. There are longer treks I almost booked but an hour is enough to feel like I got a good experience.  The glacier is incredible. In el calafate this is a must do experience at some level. Very responsive with questions beforehand and the tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable

Spectacular day out! You see the pictures in advance, but seeing the glacier 'live' ix even better.
An easy bus trip to the glacier with informative commentary from Tobias. Views from the walkways are super, and then the boat trip across to the far shore and a full one hour walk on the glacier itself (helmet and crampons provided). There was even a special treat at the end (no spoilers). Federico made the minitrek easy and very safe.
An incredible experience, and a highlight not to be missed!

The tour was well organized.  I received communication regarding pick up and everything was on time.  The walkways provided stunning views of the glacier. Trekking on the glacier was amazing.  The guides were great.  The only criticism would be that the tour was for English and Spanish speakers.  The guide definitely gave more information in Spanish, about a 5:1 ratio

that was life experience,  touch a glacier, walk on glacier, and even drink whiskey diluted with glacier water, that place is magic place, if your wait couple hours at balcony walkway, you might see falling tons of icebergs into water, like 70 meters high, the mini trekking highly recomending, worth every penny

Une experience inoubliable ! Très bien organisé, le site est particulièrement exceptionnel. Nous avons avons été prévenus la veille comme convenu de l'horaire de l'excursion. L'organisation et le déroulement de l'excursion est très fluide. la Marche sur le glacier est très très bien encadrée et très accessible. Le retour se fait dans les sous bois sur des passerelles avec une vue sur le glacier.
Nous n'avons pas regretté notre choix et recommanderons sans aucun doute cette prestation.

I got the minitrekking tour with hotel transfer. Alexa was our tour guide of the day. She was very friendly, answered all question, explained a lot of fun facts about Calafate and the regions in general, vegetation, glaciers, local wildlife. The tour was conducted both in English & Spanish (so easy to comprehend what was being told). The entry fee of park is to be paid separately. We got 2 hours to spend at the balconies. They we were dropped off at the dock where we boarded the boat and went to our minitrekking campsite (boat + minitrekking) Overall, I had a fantastic time doing the minitrekking. It was informative, well organized, safe and enjoyable. I highly recommend this experience! Please don’t miss it.

Experiencia genial. Totalmente recomendable. Buen trato y saber hacer de los guías. Muy buena organización. La escalada y caminata por el glaciar es espectacular. También las vistas desde las pasarelas. El guía Juan de la escalada explicó con mucho detalle y fue muy agradable. Caminas por el glaciar, lo ves de cerca desde el barco y tienes una panorámica espectacular desde las pasarelas. Tour muy completo. 

Se echa de menos una mayor explicación sobre el efecto del calentamiento global en la aceleración del retroceso de los glaciares y comparativas con fotos y mediciones de años anteriores. Apenas se menciona, en comparación con la importancia y relevancia que se le da en visitas a los glaciares de Los Alpes o de Islandia, por ejemplo. Y los glaciares de Patagonia son más espectaculares que  cualquiera de los otros dos.

One of the best activities ever! The tour takes place exactly as described: The short boat ride gives you an amazing view of the glacier and then you walk across a beautiful viewpoint to the start of the glacier trek. Everything is well organized and the groups are not large! The trekking itself is incredible - you have enough time to get to know the extent and facets of the glacier. One of our most amazing experiences! Next time, despite the high price, we would opt for the Big Ice Trekking to spend even more time on the glacier - it's absolutely worth the money!

Great experience. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, it rained during the trekking on the glacier. But during lunch in the refugee with a warm fire we could dry our clothes. Perito Moreno is magic. Tour well organized.

Luckily the day worked out.  I emailed February 1 to confirm time and location as I knew we would not have WiFi or any cellular service leading up to the tour.  They confirmed time of arrival as 8:50 am and tour start at 9:00 am.  This was important as we needed to drive 3 hours to our next destination following the tour.  We arrived at 8:30 am to learn that our tour had been moved to 11 am.  We still very much enjoyed the glacier tour, but I wouldn't use Howlanders in the future due to the inconsistency of the communication.

Hola, la verdad la experiencia muy buena, y los guías muy agradables y simpáticos tanto en el bus del traslado como en el minitrekking.
Lo único que el bus de recogida en el hotel llegó un poco tarde, y el minitrekking se nos hizo un poco corto.
Pero una experiencia única

Tudo muito pontual e bem organizado.  Os guias foram ótimos.  Muito atenciosos.  Foi o nosso melhor passeio em El Calafate.  

An excellent adventure and so unique. We loved seeing the glacier from many different points- the boardwalks, the boat and underneath us. Would recommend this tour!

My boyfriend and I had come to Patagonia specifically to see Glaciar Perito Moreno, and we were so glad we booked the mini trekking tour with Hielo y Aventura! They let us know the day before what time we should meet them at the port (we had a rental car) and everything was very clear and on time. Our guides Flor and Carlos were really awesome, keeping everyone safe even on an especially windy day! We learned a lot about the glacier and they kept it fun, and answered any questions that we had about Patagonia or Perito Moreno. I recommend doing this tour! Remember to bring pesos for the national park entrance. 

Great experience in a spectacular scenario. The guides were very expert and helpful, making sure that everyone could enjoy the trekking. 

The excursion was fantastic. Guides were knowledgeable and the groups were of a smallish size.

Het was fantastisch. Alles keurig geregeld en overal had je voldoende tijd om van dit wereldwonder te genieten. Wij deden het hele pakket incl. Mini trekking. Niet goedkoop, maar zeker de moeite waard. 

Op het ijs is echt een bijzondere ervaring. Met vriendelijke en betrokken gidsen die veel vertellen en de tijd nemen.

The overall mini-trekking experience was amazing!  Both our tour guide and our glacier hike guides were amazing!  Very knowledgeable and personable, made for a fun and informative experience.

I will say that we did have a lot of confusion the with regards to pick up location and what actual tour company we were booked with, it all worked out in the end but did cause some undue stress while on vacation, they could certainly work on their communication.

I made a booking to the Minitrekking to Perito Moreno with them , the process was very smooth and nice, i recieved the confirmation a few hours later with the information of the local agency which they were very professional and very kind i loved it was one of the best experience in life for me mainly that i am living in a country that we have no snow just tropical weather i advice you to book with Howlanders very comunicative with customers and kind

Expérience unique incroyable accueil chaleureux excursion bien organisée 

My husband & I loved this experience.  It was on our bucket list since there's a 65 year old age limit.  There were some inclined hikes up and down on the glaciers but nothing too difficult.  If you are used to walking and hiking, you can definitely do this.  Also, we loved that we got to view the glaciers from the platform as well.  I would recommend this fun excursion to any one that wants to try hiking on glaciers!  It was very special.

This is the best way to experience the glacier in one day. You get to go to the National Park viewing deck for a good amount of time (1.5-2 hours). You get to take a ferry to the side of the glacier which means you get to have some of the views of going on one of the cruises. And then you get to do the actual walk on the ice which is only about two hours but when you put it all together it's a lovely day. Guides were all awesome and the facilities are great.

It was great adventure! Everything was well organised. The day before we received the information on what time we need to be at port, as we went with rented car.
