Welcome to one of the most stunning sunrises you'll ever see. The tour will start early, with the pick up at your accommodation between 4:30 A.M. and 5:00 A.M., so you can enjoy the most magical moment of the day in front of one of the most important geothermal fields in the world, and the largest in South America: the Tatio Geysers opens its doors to you!
An environment of imposing landscapes surrounded by the volcanic mountain range of the Andes. This characteristic natural scenery will give you the perfect moment to stop for breakfast. Recover your energy in front of the best views you can imagine. After enjoying this refreshing stop, the best part of the day will arrive: don't hesitate and have a swim in an exquisite thermal water bath in the "Pozón Rústico" (located inside the geothermal field of the Tatio Geysers)
If you prefer to skip this part of the trip, don't worry! It's your time to get in full contact with nature, leave your mind blank and enjoy the magical landscape that opens up before your eyes. You will meet vicuñas, Andean gulls or the enchanting bacon eater. Different animals that have adapted to this wild habitat and live there as mute witnesses to its important events.

You will follow the route until you meet the Putana River and the Machuca Village. A small village of agro-pastoral origin that will receive you with a warm welcome. Its historical and cultural attraction, the adobe and straw constructions, or its church, will be some of the details that will make this experience leaving you impressed. This tour ends in San Pedro de Atacama around 12:30 p.m. A perfect time to stop for a bite to eat in the city or to go back to your accommodation before the next adventure begins.

Where does the tour Tatio Geysers and Machuca Village start

The tour begins in San Pedro de Atacama. If you arrive in San Pedro de Atacama from Santiago de Chile the best option is to fly directly to Calama. Upon arrival, you can take a transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, from where the tour begins. We recommend the company Transferpampa for being the most reliable. If you arrive from Peru you will most likely arrive from Cusco or Arequipa. In this case, we recommend you to travel in a bus that crosses the border Arica-Tacna and takes you later to San Pedro de Atacama, although it is a complex combination since it is necessary to combine several buses.
