Tour itinerary
Snorkeling Silfra & Golden Circle
Pick up in Reykjavik
Our day will start with pick-up from our accommodation in the metropolitan Reykjavik area. Pick-up starts at 8:00 a.m., but depending on the location of the accommodation, it may be delayed up to 30 minutes. Once on board the minibus, our tour of the Golden Circle will begin.

Snorkeling in Silfra
Our first stop will be at Thingvellir National Park, where we will start the morning snorkeling in the Silfra Fissure. In this activity, we will be accompanied by a certified snorkeling guide, who will give us a short safety talk. We will be provided with the necessary equipment to protect us from the cold and enjoy the glacial waters: neoprene hoods and gloves, a thermal inner suit, a dry suit, mask, snorkel, and fins. We will enter the water and swim between the continents of North America and Eurasia for 45 minutes. We will see Silfra Hall, the widest part of the fissure; Silfra Cathedral, the deepest part; and the true Blue Lagoon, the shallowest part. After observing this wonder of nature, a cup of hot chocolate will be waiting for us on the mainland, to recharge and continue with our itinerary.

Thingvellir National Park
After having seen the Silfra fissure from the inside, now we will see it from the outside, we will visit the area where the tectonic plates move away. In the park, we will also be able to see the largest natural lake in Iceland, with a great diversity of fish and birds.

Gullfoss Waterfalls
Our next stop will be the Gullfoss Waterfalls, a double waterfall created by a fault. Also called the "Golden Waterfalls", they carry glacial water from Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjökull.

Geysir
In the geothermal area of Geysir we will find a multitude of geysers. Unfortunately, Geysir, the original geyser for which the others are named, no longer erupts :( Still, we will be able to see other geysers in action, such as Strokkur, which rises up to 35 meters high every 5 minutes. At this point of the route, we will stop for lunch around 12:00 noon. For lunch we have two options, buy our food at Geysir or bring our own food.

Return to Reykjavik
On our way back to Reykjavík we will have two extra stops, the first one will be Faxi, a beautiful waterfall. Our second stop will be in the small town of Hveragerði where we will have a bathroom break and have the opportunity to buy some snacks, from there we will head back to Reykjavík where we will arrive around 6:00 p.m. ending this incredible day.
