Visit to the Full Steam Museum

The cruise begins by leaving Svolvær harbor en route to the historic fishing village of Henningsvær. Along the Vestfjord, weather permitting, a submersible drone will be deployed to explore the marine world under the ice. Meanwhile, guides will share stories about the region and keep watch for any early signs of Northern Lights. About one hour after departure, the boat will dock near the Full Steam museum, just outside Henningsvær. Here, you’ll disembark to visit a former cod factory with over 200 years of history. You’ll learn about the fishing heritage of the Lofoten Islands from local storytellers and enjoy a small tasting of authentic Norwegian caviar.

Aurora Borealis Hunt

Back on board, the boat will navigate into the darkness of the fjord. The captain will steer toward strategic zones near the “Lofoten Wall,” an impressive mountain chain, seeking the best conditions for observing the Northern Lights. If the sky is clear, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy this natural spectacle from the deck or inside the boat.

Return to Svolvær

The cruise will end calmly, returning to Svolvær harbor at approximately 10:00 PM. After hours of culture, spectacular landscapes, and—hopefully—dancing lights in the sky, this unforgettable Northern Lights experience in Lofoten comes to a close.
