We really liked the experience!! We arrived by plane and they were there to pick us up. Our guide Lucio was also very Nice. He knows a lot about the jungle and is always trying his best to spot the animals. The days were not fully packed with excursions. Most of the time you have an excursion in the morning and the second one in the afternoon (around 3/4 PM) in between you can just chill in your room or at the swimming pool. The excursions were very different, we did a lot and saw a lot of animals. The lodge is also very nice, big room, nice hot shower and cleaned every day. The only tip we can give is about the food. There was not a lot of choose. They can extent their menu a bit.

Wir hatten insgesamt einen schönen Aufenthalt. Die Lage direkt am Amazonas ist einzigartig und das abwechslungsreiche Programm mit den Dschungelaktivitäten hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben sind das stets freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal sowie die bereitgestellten Gummistiefel für die Dschungelwanderungen. Ein besonderes Lob geht außerdem an unseren Guide George, der mit seinem Wissen, seiner Freundlichkeit und seiner engagierten Art wesentlich zu einem gelungenen Aufenthalt beigetragen hat. Ebenfalls positiv fanden wir die Wasserstationen, an denen die eigenen Trinkflaschen jederzeit kostenlos aufgefüllt werden konnten.

Ein echtes Highlight waren die Zimmer. Besonders die offene Gestaltung mit dem fließenden Übergang vom Zimmer zur Terrasse vermittelt ein einzigartiges Dschungelgefühl. Die Terrasse mit Blick in den Regenwald und einer Hängematte lädt zum Entspannen ein und macht die besondere Atmosphäre des Amazonas erlebbar. Die Zimmer 8 und 9 können wir aufgrund ihrer Lage besonders empfehlen.

Die Zimmer waren grundsätzlich in Ordnung, allerdings wären kleinere Ausbesserungen an Ecken und Kanten sowie die Beseitigung von Abnutzungserscheinungen sinnvoll. Außerdem sollten Oberflächen und Ablagen gründlicher gereinigt werden. In einem von zwei gebuchten Zimmern musste die Bettwäsche aufgrund von Flecken ausgetauscht werden.

Das Essen war lecker, allerdings etwas eintönig, da es fast täglich Reis als Beilage gab. Die festen Essenszeiten um 8:00 Uhr, 12:30 Uhr und 19:30 Uhr empfanden wir jedoch als weniger gelungen. Viele Gäste versammelten sich bereits etwa 30 Minuten vor der Öffnung des Buffets im Restaurant. Das Buffet wurde zwar pünktlich eröffnet, dennoch bildeten sich sofort lange Schlangen. Nach etwa 30 Minuten waren einzelne Speisen bereits aufgebraucht und zeitweise standen auch keine Getränke mehr zur Verfügung. Ein längerer Essenszeitraum anstelle eines festen Beginns für alle Gäste würde die Situation deutlich entspannen und den Andrang besser verteilen.

Dennoch gibt es einige Punkte, bei denen Verbesserungsbedarf besteht. Das Restaurant würde deutlich an Atmosphäre gewinnen, wenn es zur Amazonasseite ausgerichtet wäre. Zudem sollte der Pool aus hygienischen Gründen – insbesondere bei den hohen Temperaturen – besser gechlort werden.

Der Aufenthaltsbereich dient gleichzeitig als Restaurant und Ort für Spiele sowie Trommelaktivitäten. Dadurch ist es oft laut, sodass die Ruhe und die besonderen Geräusche des Dschungels kaum zur Geltung kommen. Hinzu kommt, dass Gäste teilweise laut Videos oder Musik auf ihren Handys abspielen. Auch Zimmer in Poolnähe sind weniger empfehlenswert, da man morgens leicht durch spielende und schreiende Kinder geweckt werden kann.

Verbesserungswürdig war auch die Organisation des Gepäcktransports. Vorab wurde kommuniziert, dass pro Person nur 10 kg Gepäck mitgebracht werden dürfen. Dennoch reisten andere Gäste mit großen 23-kg-Koffern an, was vom Guide offenbar akzeptiert wurde. Dadurch wurden die großen Koffer im Shuttleboot auf den Sitzplätzen verstaut und nahmen Sitzplätze weg. Wir waren zu viert und erhielten bei der Abholung zunächst die Auskunft, dass wir alle vier großen Koffer mitnehmen könnten. Beim Einsteigen in den Bus wurden wir dann plötzlich gefragt, welche zwei Koffer wir mitnehmen möchten. Da wir uns an die Vorgabe gehalten und nur Handgepäck mitgenommen hatten, mussten wir letztlich unsere Rucksäcke auf dem Schoß behalten, weil die großen Koffer anderer Gäste die Sitzplätze belegten. Das empfanden wir als unfair und schlecht organisiert.

Auch die Kommunikation zur Abholung war unglücklich. Uns wurde eine Abholzeit von 9:00 Uhr mitgeteilt und gleichzeitig darauf hingewiesen, dass Gäste, die zu spät erscheinen, die Anreise selbst bezahlen müssten. Tatsächlich wurden wir jedoch erst um 9:20 Uhr abgeholt, obwohl sich die Agentur einen flexiblen Abholzeitraum vorbehielt. Diese unterschiedliche Handhabung wirkte wenig kundenfreundlich.

Insgesamt hatten wir trotz der genannten Kritikpunkte eine schöne Zeit. Mit einigen organisatorischen Verbesserungen, einer besseren Zimmerpflege und mehr Rücksicht auf Ruhe und Erholung könnte das Hotel dem besonderen Naturerlebnis am Amazonas noch besser gerecht werden.

Excelente experiencia! El hotel es muy comodo y agraddable. Cuenta con venta de alcohol y snacks a precios bastante razonable (10 soles una cerveza, 25 un pisco sour). Si pueda dar un feedback positivo seria de que los guias relaten un poco de historia del Amazonas, mas alla de los temas de animales y plantas

Wonderful stay on the Peruvian Amazon. The lodge was excellent and ideally placed especially with the river in high flood. This led piranha to be under the walkways! The visit was part of an organised tour from Exoticca Travel. Wildlife was not as apparent probably due to the floods. We did have some monkeys in trees and trips into the forest were beautiful.|Rooms very good. Food good. Staff helpful and guides excellent. Mosquitoes a pain.

The place is even better than in the photos. Lodge is very well maintained, rooms are specious and clean. There is electricity 24h a day. Food is various and tasty. The lodge supports local community and all employees are from nearby areas.|Our guide Lucio has been very attentive, kind and knowledgeable about the river,  wild life and local customs. As well boat driver was very professional.

Paradise in the Amazon. Ideal location, perfectly integrated facilities, comfortable rooms, all with great respect for the environment. Efficient, affectionate and friendly staff. Very well prepared guide and activities. Iquitos is an ideal place for those who want to be in the middle of nature in a safe environment. Gracias :D

Pasé Año Nuevo en Iquitos por recomendación de un buen amigo que había visitado unos años antes. Después de caminar y caminar por Perú durante casi tres semanas, llegar a la selva y pasar 3 días en el Amazonas fue tan increíble! Es hermosa y bien cuidada. El personal amable y atento. La comida fue excelente y nuestro guía personal (para sólo 3 personas) nos dio una gran visión de la selva, los animales, la fauna y las familias que viven en los alrededores. Lo recomiendo a todos !

It was an amazing trip since they picked me up at the hotel in Iquitos. The attention is excellent, the guides are very prepared and always friendly and attentive. And the staff inside the lodge are friendly and very attentive.

I chose the 4 day package and each one was different and with interesting activities. It is an adventure, the landscapes are beautiful, in the walks you can observe the flora and fauna in different ways (you go by boat, kayak, walking, swimming, day, night). Besides that you learn a lot through the guides.
