Juan Carlos es un gran guía, estuvo atento siempre y es un gran conocedor de la flora y fauna y los lugares de alrededor del Lodge. Nos explicó con gran pasión y eso hizo que la visita fuera una gran experiencia.

Hemos disfrutado mucho de esta experiencia por la selva sobretodo de la compañía de nuestros guías , Manuel y Fredi son encantadores, amables, respetuosos y cautos. Ha sido un placer estar con ellos tres días. Las instalaciones del lodge son inmejorables con buena comodidad y atención. Los desayunos, almuerzos y cenas riquísimos. Repetiríamos sin duda :). From start to finish, the tour was an unforgettable adventure. It began with a warm welcome from Kevin, whose enthusiasm and passion for the jungle were immediately evident. His extensive knowledge of the flora and fauna made every walk engaging and educational. Kevin has a unique talent for explaining complex ecological concepts in an accessible and fascinating way.

The jungle itself was breathtakingly beautiful. We saw an incredible variety of animals, from colorful birds and butterflies to curious monkeys and majestic caimans. Thanks to Kevin's sharp eye and experience, we didn't miss a single highlight.

Muy bonito y auténtico. También el calor y la humedad. Por las noches se dormía bien.

La estancia es en un albergue con un proyecto de conservación de la biodiversidad, sobre todo en la deforestación . Da trabajo a personas del poblado y los guías que trabajan allí son personas nativas e inmersos en el proyecto. Muy recomendable. Es un albergue sencillo sin agua caliente pero tampoco importa porque el clima es caluroso y el agua no está fría. El personal es muy amable y servicial y la comida muy rica. Nuestro huis Juan Carlos se mostró muy profesional, con disponibilidad y agradando en todo momento.

Howlanders linked us up with a great jungle lodge. Everything was very easy to book and I would definitely recommend.

Unser Guid konnte uns viele interessante Dinge über die Ort, der Natur und den Tieren erzählen. Er hatte ein gutes Auge für schwer zu entdeckende Tiere und hat den Aufenthalt nach unseren Vorstellungen bzw. Wünschen gestaltet. 
Abholung oder Transport war wie besprochen und lief reibungslos ab.

Una experiencia espectacular. El tour es completamente adaptable a las preferencias de cada persona.
El alojamiento, Libertad Jungle Lodge, está genial. Tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda y está en un entorno maravilloso. 
El cocinero, Fran, es fantástico, y los guías conocen bien el entorno y buscan siempre la forma de mejorar la experiencia de los viajeros.
Además, es de las pocas experiencias en la Amazonía que afecta positivamente a las comunidades locales, haciéndola también socialmente sostenible.

Our experience was beyond expected, everything was absolutely amazing.
From the people from Libertat that was very welcoming and nice, all the guides in the loadge allways with a smile and ready to help, to the food and juices everything was spot on. Be able to be out on the wilderness without internet was a blast. I would like to thank Manuel and Hermano (our guides) for all the experiences given to us, all the kindness try their best to go the extra mile in order to make us happy and confortable and to share everything they know about Amazon, we couldn't have asked for better guides. We highly recommend this Lodge and the experience.
Again thank you for these 3 days that will never be forgotten.

The guide was excellent, very knowledgeable and nice. The living for a bit more rustic and basic than I anticipated. The fact that there was only electricity for 3 hours a day was a bit difficult. Oh no we enjoyed the trip but I wish I knew the level of the living conditions before I booked it

We had a wonderful time on our trip. We were completely in awe that this was a private trip and we had the entire lodge to ourselves.  Our tour guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about all the ins and out of the Amazon. Though at times it was a little hard to understand him, he was incredibly fun and helpful.

The tour was  versatile and  we liked that our Tour guide discussed all the options of our 3 day trip with us on the first day, to gear the trip to our interests.

The food was also nice and an absolute highlight were the different types of fruit juices for every meal.

10/10 great trip, our guide groomer was great throughout, would definitely recommend

Couldn't have asked for a more incredible Amazonian experience staying at the Libertad Jungle Lodge in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. My guide Remi went out of his way to ensure I had the best experience possible and all the staff at the lodge were amazingly warm and welcoming. The food was great, options were extensive and the facilities about as much as you could ask for without taking away the immersive experience of such a remote location. I'd highly recommend visiting Libertad for an authentic and personalised experience that'll give you memories to treasure for the rest of your life!

We were with 4 persons for the jungle tour from 3 days en 2 nights. Everything was excellent and the experience was something that you will never forget. You can choose you own program and go back to basic. Thank you to Larry and Manuel!

It was a great experience to do the second tour through Howlanders after I had a tour with them in Uyuni. Great service, excellent food and good guides. Much better than expected food then at other tours. The tour guide was from the local area itself and therefore very knowledgeable on all our Amazone questions and on the locations to spot the various animals. The lodge was great and well protected from mosquitoes. Full nets over your head in the bed. 

On a critical note the drivers taking you from Iquitos to the boat in Nauta are “want to be Max Verstappen drivers”. Way to fast and hazard driving that does not fit with the Howlanders tour operators philosophy. 

All in all we had a fantastic time and I can highly recommend this tour with Howlanders. 

Wow what an incredible experience. My friend and I did the 3 day jungle tour and were completely blown away! Our guide Remigio was so fantastic and you could tell this was something he loved to do. He would get so excited talking about the jungle that it made you even more excited. Everything from the food, to the accommodation, and of course the wildlife was great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a little bit out there and experience a once in a life altering journey. What I think was most special about this tour was that you had to actually go out and find everything you wanted to see in its natural state. Makes you appreciate the experience much more than if you were to see them in captivity like some other tours we had looked at. Thank you for the amazing opportunity!

Unforgettable time in the Jungle
This was the highlight of our six week trip in Peru! We will never forget the awesome time we had in the peruvian amazon.
The organisation was flawless! We were picked up at the Iquitos Airport directly after we arrived and after the trip were brought back to an adress of our choosing in Iquitos. During the time of the trip we did not have to worry about a single thing and were very well taken care of. The lodge is a community run project by the local villagers of the Libertad village next to the lodge. The chefs cooked is incredibly delicious food typical for the peruvian jungle all made from local ingredients. For every meal we also got fresh juices from jungle fruits we sometimes haven‘t even heard of before.
Upon arrival in the lodge you sit down with your personal jungle guide and talk about all of the things you can do during your trip. It is then up to you to come up with a plan together with your guide and get a individualised program that perfectly fits your needs. From piranha fishing over watching and feeding monkeys up to watching dolphins and the sunrise & sundown over the amazon, there were plenty things to do.
Thanks to our guide Larry who grew up in the jungle and had an astounding knowledge about the flora and fauna in the jungle we had an unforgettable time in the jungle!
If you book in groups you will get a discount because there are more people with one personal guide.
I higly recommend booking a trip to the jungle in the Libertad Jungle Lodge because you will have an unforgettable time!

Una experiencia increíble. Los lodges son cómodos y limpios y la comida muy rica. Las excursiones espectaculares. Gumer y Manuel cuidaron de nosotros fantásticamente y nos sentimos en muy buenas manos durante toda la estancia. Una aventura que se tiene que vivir al menos una vez en la vida. Además con Howlanders el dinero que pagas es para la Comunidad Libertad, donde te alojas, así que es una inversión que va directa a contribuir en el beneficio de las familias que viven allí. Recomendable 100%.

	Al reservar esta experiencia en ningún momento esperábamos lujo pero tampoco lo buscábamos. Querríamos de alguna forma experimentar la selva de la forma más auténtica posible, tener una idea de cómo es vivir allí y eso es lo que te ofrece esta experiencia. Paseos por los ríos, ver animales en su hábitat, monos, pájaros, insectos, peces, delfines, perezosos, geckos, etc. Comida local riquísima y sana, la cama ha sido muy cómoda y el hecho de estar rodeada de red nos ha protegido de las picaduras. Ha sido una experiencia inolvidable que la recomiendo. Hemos desconectado como nunca, literalmente porque no había cobertura. He sentido otra vez lo que significa que el día parezca lento e infinito y lo echaba de menos. Totalmente recomendable! El equipo nos ha ayudado en todo momento, nos ha contestado rapidísimo y nos ha asesorado de la mejor manera posible.

El alojamiento consiste en cabañas muy sencillas, pero a pesar de las incomodidades, hay que ser consciente de que los vecinos de la comunidad (o poblado) no viven en mejores condiciones.
Han sido tres días totalmente inmersos en la selva, en la Comunidad y en su entorno. Las actividades han sido variadas y nuestro guía Oris ha sido lo mejor de la excursión. Es un hombre experimentado que conoce perfectamente el entorno y hemos realizado con seguridad todo lo planificado. Siempre ha sido agradable y educado, y nos ha transmitido la sensación de respeto por el lugar en donde viven.
Creo que en sólo tres días conseguimos llevarnos la mejor experiencia posible.

Larry and Wilson were both very knowledgeable about the area, plants and animals. Our guide, Larry, spoke excellent English. The food was amazing and was easily adapted for a vegetarian and vegan. This was truely an an amazing experience!

Todo lo que hicimos allí fue descubrir otra forma de vivir y convivir. Además que según los responsables, todo se invierte en mejorar las condiciones de vida de los nativos. Por ello se merecen lo mejor.

La experiencia Iquitos fué de lo mejor, impresionante, inolvidable, todo perfecto. Encontramos amabilidad, calidez, en la gente de Lodge. Los paisajes maravillosos y las  actividades muy interesantes, vimos muchos animales, viajamos en canoa( peque peque) pescamos, contactamos con gente de la comunidad. Maravilloso.

Conocí Howlanders por recomendación de un compañero de trabajo que había estado el año anterior y reservamos unos días en la selva con ellos. 
La comunicación previa fue muy buena, con mails frecuentes y respuestas rápidas ante posibles dudas. 
La organización allí fue perfecta, con los servicios de recogida en el aeropuerto y transporte hasta el lugar, perfectamente coordinados.
Es cierto lo que dicen de que la estancia es personalizada. El guía asesora y pregunta sobre lo que se puede hacer ese día.
El alojamiento, muy bien. 
Las actividades, geniales. Pero mejor no contarlas y descubrirlas allí.
En resumen, una experiencia inolvidable en un lugar inolvidable.
Lo único negativo, no haber podido estar más días.

Nuestro guía Luis fue maravilloso y muy atento en todo momento.
En general la estancia y las excursiones están muy bien. 
En las habitaciones eché de menos agua caliente o al menos templada.

Roland y Dieguito nos han mostrado lo mejor del amazonas. Nos han cuidado como lo hubiera hecho nuestra propia madre, tarea complicada entre pirañas, caimanes y tantos mosquitos. Un viaje inolvidable para una experiencia unica e irrepetible. Gracias chicos

Gracias a nuestros Guias Aladino y al Bala, ha sido una experiencia maravillosa, otro mundo dentro de Perú.

El lodge está junto a un poblado al margen del Amazonas, en una zona despejada, con muy buenas vistas sobre el río.
El guía que nos acompañó durante los 3 días fue muy amable, nativo del mismo poblado en el que estaba el lodge, había explorado muy bien el entorno con sus abuelos y nos ayudó a observar y reconocer los animales y las plantas de la zona en su hábitat natural.
El lodge Jungle Libertad es propiedad de una fundación sin ánimo de lucro, creada con el objetivo de ayudar a los habitantes del poblado Libertad en el que está ubicado y a cuya población educa y da trabajo e infraestructura. Al conocer la historia, tuvimos la sensación de que con el pago de los servicios estábamos ayudando a mejorar la calidad de vida de los habitantes del poblado y estuvimos tentados (tal vez sucumbamos pronto) a ofrecernos voluntarios para ayudarles a completar su proyecto.
El programa de actividades es amplio y permite flexibilidad en la preparación del plan de actividades durante los días de estancia en el amazonas. Los guías se coordinan para evitar que haya más de un grupo en cada lugar de avistamiento de animales, lo que ayuda a tener sensación de estar explorando lugares alejados de la civilización, sin estar rodeado de otros turistas (como nosotros).

He viajado por zonas de selva antes, pero nunca he visto tanta diversidad de animales, vegetación y paisajes. Hacen todo lo posible para que te sientas como en casa. Las comidas espectaculares, y nada como pescar tu propia cena! Ha sido una experiencia muy auténtica. Un abrazo al equipo de Howlanders y a toda la comunidad, en especial a nuestro guía Manuel!

We had a wonderful experience during our 3 days on Amazon. Manuel, Gooner and Alexander did fantastic job showing us sites and wildlife. We saw monkeys, cayman, sloths, snakes, exotic birds etc. Accommodations and food were good. I would highly recommend trip to others.  A top ten trip.

Really nice accommodation, great guide and really nice trips to see the animals and the plants of the jungle. We went Piranhas fishing which we could eat later for lunch. Our guide pulled a small Alligator in our boat and we even had a funny monkey on our boat. Really some unforgettable moments and I felt all the time save. 3 incredible beautiful days

Unfortunately we can not say,,how it was to go on tour with howlanders. We had to cancel our dschungle trIp one week before for the savety of our kids. But I want to say Howlanders on this way a very best thanks. Thank you very much, that we had not to pay the whole cancelatIon fee and for your very friendly welcoming furtherrmore we canceled in such a short time before.

Gracias a Howlanders, descubrimos parte del Amazonas peruano, guiados por Heber, un chico local que nos hizo disfrutar al máximo de los tres días que pasamos allí.
Aparte, el alojamiento estuvo de 10. Manuel, su dueño, reparte todas las ganancias entre los habitantes de la aldea que colinda con el lodge. Todo un honor haber contribuido.

Experiencia inolvidable y que contribuye a un proyecto local del poblado. Al llegar al poblado, se te asignan dos guias para todas las actividades a realizar en el tour, lo que da un plus de complicidad y seguridad. En todas las actividades se toman las medidas de seguridad necesarias para la tranquilidad de los turistas.
Cualquier necesidad es cubierta para la comodidad y el bienestar del viajero. Muy cercanos y amables.

Más que un viaje nuestro tour a la Selva de Iquitos ha sido toda una experiencia. Vimos monos, delfines rosas, caimanes, dormimos en la selva. Tanto mi pareja como yo disfrutamos muchisimo. Un abrazo a Javi y a todo el equipo de Howlanders por hacernos tan fácil la organización con sus atenciones

At first I was scared since it was my first trip to the Amazon jungle, but Clara cleared all my doubts and it has been a very authentic experience.

Increíble! lo recomendamos 100%. Antes de ir, Javier nos había solucionado todas las dudas y se encargó de toda nuestra reserva. Y una vez ahí, nuestros guías nos hicieron disfrutar de la experiencia al máximo (ah! y los cocineros!). Vamos que si tenéis pensado ir, no lo dudéis, la visita no defrauda!

Fue una experiencia muy muy buena, totalmente recomendable. De hecho si hubiéramos podido nos hubiéramos quedado más tiempo para explorar la selva más profunda.
Un trato muy bueno, en contacto con la comunidad local, que era algo que queríamos de antemano, evitar cualquier empresa extranjera.

Somos una pareja acostumbrada a organizar nuestros viajes por libre, pero Howlanders no es una agencia al uso, es cómo si un amigo te aconsejara , siempre dispuestos a disipar dudas del cómo, cuando..etc....Estuvimos en la Amazonía, en Iquitos, fue una experiencia enriquecedora, acompañados con un guía y un barquero , locales,(de la comunidad donde estábamos)exclusivamente para nosotros, hicimos actividades diversas, siempre como nexo de unión el río y la selva. Gracias por llenar el hueco que nos faltaba a los viajeros que queremos algo un poco diferente.

Fue una ruta maravillosa. Nuestra selva es algo digno de conocerse por todos. Nos encantó todo.
