Cancellation policy
If you cancel at least 32 days before the start of the tour, you will receive a refund of 80% of the amount paid. If you cancel between 31 and 26 days before the start of the tour you will receive a refund of 50% of the amount paid. If you cancel between 25 and 19 days before the start of the tour you will receive a 40% refund of the amount paid. If you cancel between 18 and 11 days before the start of the tour you will receive a refund of 25% of the amount paid. After this time or in case of not doing the activity, no refund will be made and it will not be possible to modify the reservation.

DAY 1 Banyalbufar
Accommodation: Hotel Son Borguny
Individual arrival in Banyalbufar
On the first day you can check-in at the Hotel Son Borguny between 14:00 and 20:00. Banyalbufar is located one hour from Mallorca and you can get there by car or bus.
Take advantage of the afternoon to visit this little village located between terraces, with unbeatable views of the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy a magical sunset.
DAY 2 Trek from Estellencs to Esporles
Elevation gain: ▲ 400 m. ▼450 m
Distance: 10 km
Duration: 4 hours

Banyalbufar
Breakfast at the hotel will be served between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. After breakfast, the private transport will pick you up from the hotel and take you to Estellencs, where today’s route begins. It is 6 km away and it will take you just 11 minutes to reach your destination. As today you will return to the same hotel to sleep, you can leave your luggage in your room and enjoy the GR221 dry stone walk comfortably with a small backpack.
From Estellencs to Esporles
With your batteries recharged, you will start the first stage in one of the smallest and quietest villages in the Tramuntana, Estellencs. Here you will find well-marked paths through pine forests, and the sea will be your constant companion. This stage will last approximately 4 hours and you will cover a total of 10 km.
Transfer from Esporles to Banyalbufar
Once in Esporles, the private transport will be waiting to take you back to the Hotel Son Borguny in Banyalbufar in about 20 minutes. Take advantage of the afternoon to rest and recover energy for the next day.
DAY 3 Trek from Esporles to Valldemossa
Elevation gain: ▲ 650 m. ▼420 m
Distance: 9 km
Duration: 4 hours

Transfer from Banyalbufar to Esporles
Breakfast at the hotel will be served between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Then, the private transport will take you to Esporles which is 10 km away and it will take you 17 minutes to reach your destination. The tour includes luggage transport between stages, so you can prepare a small backpack to take with you and leave the rest in the private vehicle. When you arrive at the next hotel, you will have the rest of your luggage there.
From Esporles to Valldemossa
The third day’s route begins! This 9 km stage goes through holm oak forests passing by old charcoal kilns and lime kilns to reach Valldemossa, one of the most famous villages in Mallorca.
⚠️It will be important to take extreme caution on windy and foggy days because of the imposing cliffs ⚠️
Valldemossa
In the afternoon you will have time to discover the medieval village of Valldemossa, located in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. You can visit the Royal Charterhouse, the church of San Bertomeu and the Place of King Sancho.
DAY 4 Trek from Deià to Sóller - Camí del Pintors
Elevation gain: ▲ 220 m. ▼280 m
Distance: 13 km
Duration: 3,5 hours

Transfer from Valldemossa to Deià
Breakfast at the hotel will be served between 8:30 and 10:30 in the morning. Then with the private transport you will approach Deia to start the fourth day’s stage, you are already at the halfway point of the route!
Camí dels Pintors
This stage will be the easiest of your trekking week. It runs along the “Camí des Pintors”, passing by old houses dating back to the 13th century. The path of Arab descent used to serve as a link between the villages of Soller and Deia.
Sóller
If the weather is fine, you can end the day on Sóller's beach. There is also the possibility of going for a walk through the beautiful coastal town, considered the capital of Tramuntana and one of the most beautiful in Spain.
DAY 5 Biniaraix ravine trek to the Tossals Verds Refuge
Elevation gain: ▲ 940 m. ▼360 m
Distance: 16 km
Duration: 7,5 hours

Transfer from Sóller to the start of the route
Breakfast at the hotel will be served between 8:30 and 11:30 in the morning. On this day you will have to carry your own luggage because the Tossals Verds Refuge is not accessible by car. You will have to organise a backpack for two days, so get ready for a day of intensive sensations!
Biniaraix ravine
The Biniaraix gorge is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Tramuntana Mountains and has been declared a Public Cultural Asset. This cobbled hiking route is a fascinating combination of stone steps, rocks, water and wild vegetation.
Tossals Verds
After a long ascent, you will reach the Coll de l’Ofre, where you will have a spectacular view of the most alpine landscape next to the Cúber reservoir and the Puig Major peak. Later you will arrive at the Tossals Verds Refuge, where you will spend the night, through the flat rock pass.
DAY 6 Trek from Tossals Verds to Santuari de Lluc
Elevation gain: ▲ 830 m. ▼800 m
Distance: 16 km
Duration: 5,5 hours
Accommodation: Santuari de Lluc
Tossals Verds
Breakfast will be served at the refuge between 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning and you can pick up your lunch-box for lunch at midday. Today is the queen stage of the route. The climb starts gently through a forest and takes you along the walls of Massanella. Here begins the rocky path to the pass, where you can enjoy your picnic in the open air.
Santuari de Lluc
Once past the Coll des Prats, with impressive views of the bays of Pollensa and Alcúdia, you will make a descent, followed again by a short ascent to the pass below the Puig de en Galileo. Once there it will be a steady descent along the dry stone path and holm oak forest to the Santuari de Lluc, Mallorca’s most important pilgrimage centre.
DAY 7 Trek from Lluc to Pollensa
Elevation gain: ▲ 500 m. ▼700 m
Distance: 19,5 km
Duration: 5 hours

Santuari de Lluc
Breakfast at the hotel will be served between 8:30 and 10:00 in the morning. The last stage of the alpine hike takes you to Pollensa. The path is a forest route and is easy to walk. From Binifaldó it is all downhill until you reach the village of Pollensa, where you can celebrate the end of the hike.

Once you arrive at the village, located in the north of Mallorca, we recommend a walk through its beautiful stone streets, a visit to the Main Square and the 365 steps up to El Calvario. Let yourself be enveloped by its natural surroundings!
DAY 8 Pollensa
Individual departure from Pollensa
This is the end of your 8-day adventure on the GR221 Dry Stone Route through the Tramuntana Mountains. Wake up peacefully and enjoy the last breakfast on the island. It will be served between 8:00 and 11:00 in the morning and you can check-out at Hotel Son Sant Jordi until 12:00.

A self-guided tour is a route which is done without a guide, independently, where you can walk at your own pace and set your own times. The Dry Stone Route runs along well-marked trails and you will also have the maps and GPS Tracks of the GR 221.Where do we eat at lunchtime?
As this is a self-guided tour, you decide the pace of the route, the breaks you take and where you eat each day. The stages last between 3,5 and 7,5 hours. This allows you to pack a picnic and take the opportunity to have a picnic lunch halfway along the route or calculate the time in route to get to the restaurants for lunch. Lunch is not included in the tour.
