Pickup in Marrakech
The 3 Day Berber Villages Trek begins with pickup at your accommodation in Marrakech. From there, you’ll travel by private vehicle to the High Atlas Mountains, with a drive of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Imlil Valley.
Arrival in Imlil and Start of the Trek
Once you arrive in Imlil, located at around 5,710 feet (1,740 m) above sea level, you’ll meet your local English-speaking guide, who will accompany you throughout the trek. Before starting the hike, you’ll enjoy a welcome tea and review the trekking route on a map.
Then, you’ll set out on foot from Imlil toward Tinerhourhine, passing through the village of Tamatert and gradually ascending along mountain trails.

Tizi n’Tamatert Pass
During the day, you’ll reach the Tizi n’Tamatert Pass, located at approximately 7,480 feet (2,280 m). Here, you’ll stop for lunch while taking in the views of the High Atlas and the valleys surrounding Imlil.
Arrival in Tinerhourhine
After lunch, you’ll continue hiking through the Ouanesekra and Tamguist areas until you reach Tinerhourhine, where you’ll spend your first night in a local lodge.
The day’s hike lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours.

Day 2: Tinerhourhine – Imnane Valley – Aguersioual – Tizi Oudid – Aït Aïssa

Imnane Valley
After breakfast, you’ll begin the second day of the 3 Day Berber Villages Trek, setting out from Tinerhourhine to explore the Imnane Valley.
Along the way, you’ll pass through the Berber village of Ikkiss, hiking along mountain trails, past terraced fields, and through the rural landscapes of the High Atlas.
Tizi n’Aguersioual Pass
The route continues across the river and follows an uphill trail to the Tizi n’Aguersioual Pass. From here, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Imnane Valley and the Imlil Valley.
Afterward, you’ll descend toward the village of Aguersioual, located at around 5,510 feet (1,680 m), before continuing along a mountain trail to Matate, where you’ll stop for lunch.

Tizi Oudid and Arrival in Aït Aïssa
In the afternoon, you’ll continue hiking uphill toward the Tizi Oudid Pass. From here, you’ll be able to admire the Azzaden Valley, one of the most beautiful areas on this route through the Atlas Mountains Berber Villages.
After a short break, you’ll begin the descent to the village of Aït Aïssa, where you’ll spend your second night in a local lodge.
This is the longest day of the tour, with approximately 6 to 7 hours of hiking.

Day 3: Aït Aïssa – Tizi Oussem – Tizi Mzik – Imlil – Marrakech

During the hike, you’ll cross the Tizi Mzik Pass, one of the most scenic points of this final stage. From here, you’ll begin the descent into the Imlil Valley, passing through the village of Mzik before completing the trek.
Return Transfer to Marrakech
Once back in Imlil, you’ll enjoy lunch before taking your transfer back to Marrakech. You’re scheduled to arrive in the afternoon, and the tour will end with drop-off at your accommodation or assigned meeting point.
