Important information
Corcovado National Park has a very limited capacity, with only 100 people per day. It is one of the most biodiverse areas on the planet, so it is important to be extremely respectful of the environment and not leave the trails. In order to see as many animals as possible, it is key to be quiet and attentive to everything around you.
During the boat ride, we can be up to 16 people. Once we get to the park group will split in two (maximum of 8 people). During the boat trip, people who are prone to seasickness may get seasick.

Corcovado National Park day tour from Drake Bay
Meeting at Drake Bay
At 5:45 in the morning your guide will be waiting for you at the meeting point in Drake Bay (Agujitas de Drake). We will meet the whole group and at 6:00 a.m. we will head to Corcovado National Park. The boat ride takes 1:45 hours.
👆 Howlanders' Tip:
If you have a tendency to get seasick, we recommend you to sit at the back of the boat and if you deem it necessary to take something to avoid seasickness. Also, if you sit on the left side of the boat you will have a view of the coast.
At 8 o'clock we will be inside the park, perfect to see all the animals, much more active during the first hours of the morning!

Visit Sirena Biological Station
Little by little we will go into the park, first through the secondary forest area until we reach the Sirena Biological Station (where the Park Rangers and the travelers who take the Corcovado 2 Day Tour reside). We will make a technical stop to drink and register as visitors and continue our way into the park.

Return
After approximately four hours of walking, we will start our way back to the beach through which we entered the park, where the boat will be waiting for us. On the way back, if schedules permit, we will be able to see the "La Llorona" waterfall, a spectacular waterfall directly into the sea.

Lunch
We will arrive at the beach from where we left Drake Bay around 13:30, and it is right there where we will have lunch together at a beachfront restaurant. If you have already read about the typical Costa Rican gastronomy you will know that good rice and beans are a must 🙂 When we finish eating, we will say goodbye to the guide and the rest of the group and end the tour. You will be just a few meters away from your accommodation in Agujitas de Drake.
