Important information
This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for children under 4 years old due to the extreme cold. If you are in an advanced stage of pregnancy, we also recommend skipping this tour, as most of the fishing is done either standing or sitting directly on the ice. Occasionally, the guides may bring portable chairs, but this depends on availability.
Please note that going fishing doesn't always mean you’ll catch fish, but don’t worry — the guide will make sure the experience is memorable and worthwhile.
Remember: if you catch a fish, it is prohibited to release it back into the water. Once a fish bites the hook, it loses its ability to feed, so we ask you to act responsibly and keep the fish for personal consumption.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation!

The Ice Fishing in Rovaniemi tour begins at the meeting point in Rovaniemi at 10:00 AM. Once the group is assembled, we’ll board our well-heated minibus and head to one of the most beautiful lakes in the area. The drive takes just 20 minutes. Fishing on an Arctic Lake
Once we arrive at the lake, we’ll find the best spot to drill a hole in the ice. The guide will explain the traditional fishing technique used in Lapland for centuries. You’ll see — it’s easier than it looks! Now it’s time to be patient and wait for a fish to bite through the icy Arctic waters.
Depending on the time of year, the chances of catching something may vary. But don’t worry — the guide will make sure your experience is unique and unforgettable. Keep in mind that catch-and-release is strictly prohibited, as it harms the aquatic ecosystem in these northern waters. Enjoy the peaceful, tranquil setting while sipping a warm drink!
