If you are traveling solo and book a shared tent, you will share it with another traveler, preferably of the same gender, although this cannot be guaranteed. Minors must always share a tent with an adult.

What kind of food is served during the Kakadu 3-Day Adventure Tour from Darwin?
Most meals are prepared by the guides and consist of a simple, camp-style menu. On some occasions, meals are provided by the lodgings where the group spends the night.
Travelers are encouraged to help with meal preparation, cleanup, and loading and unloading the vehicle, as this is a great opportunity to share the experience with the rest of the group.
What is the minimum age to participate?
Children ages 8 to 17 must be accompanied at all times by an adult or legal guardian.
This tour is not suitable for infants or children under 8 years of age due to safety requirements and the level of physical exertion required for the hikes.
People over the age of 70 must provide a medical certificate at least 30 days before the start of the trip.
What is the accommodation like?
Individual swag (1 person): Includes an Australian swag—a traditional canvas-covered camp bed equipped with a mattress. This is the recommended option for those who want to sleep under the stars.
Shared safari tent (2 people): Includes a permanent safari tent equipped with two single beds, mattresses, pillows, pillowcases, and sheets. Towels are not included.
Travelers who book a shared safari tent individually will be accommodated, whenever possible, with another person of the same sex, although this arrangement cannot be guaranteed.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult, regardless of the type of accommodation chosen.
What level of physical fitness is required?
A medium-to-high level of physical fitness is required.
Daily hikes are approximately 2 to 4 km long, although the itinerary also includes a hike of about 9.5 km. The trails may pass through rocky terrain, steep slopes, and areas exposed to the sun and humidity.
Whether each hike takes place will be at the guide’s discretion, who will assess conditions to ensure the group’s safety.
How much luggage can you bring?
Due to limited space in the vehicle, each passenger may bring:
- 1 soft-sided travel bag weighing up to 15 kg.
- 1 backpack or daypack weighing up to 5 kg.
Large suitcases must be left at the accommodation during the tour.
Are national park admission fees included?
Yes. The tour price includes all fees and admission tickets for the national parks visited during the tour.
What kind of vehicle is used for the tour?
The tour takes place in an air-conditioned 4x4 off-road bus designed to travel on rough trails and difficult terrain. Groups typically consist of 15 to 21 passengers, and a minimum of 8 participants is required to guarantee the tour will take place. In the event of a breakdown, an alternative vehicle may be used.
Is it safe to camp in the Australian outback?
Australia is home to potentially dangerous wildlife, extreme weather conditions, and a wide variety of terrain. Participating in outdoor activities in these areas involves certain risks.
The guides have received specialized training to ensure safety throughout the entire trip. However, each traveler participates at their own risk.
Is it a good idea to purchase travel insurance?
Yes. It is recommended that you purchase travel insurance, as the tour passes through remote areas of the Northern Territory where access to medical care may be limited in the event of illness or an accident.
