The Tanzania Safari and Zanzibar 11-day package is the perfect match between adrenaline and relaxation that your adventure in Africa needs.
During the first six days of the safari you will explore the most important national parks of Tanzania: Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Always accompanied by a local guide who will make your safari a magical experience. But we leave the best for last: 4 days of disconnection from the world await you on the paradisiacal beaches of Zanzibar.

Important information
The tour includes transfers to and from Kilimanjaro JRO and Zanzibar airport to the cities of Arusha and Zanzibar respectively, adapted to your flight schedules. The tour includes the flight between Arusha and Zanzibar in economy class but does not include international flights to and from Africa.
It is the traveler's responsibility to comply with all immigration requirements and COVID-19 regulations for entry, exit and travel in the country.
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation! If you cancel at least 30 days before the start of the tour, you will receive 100% of the amount paid. If you cancel between 29 and 15 days before the tour starts, you will receive 80% of the paid amount. If you cancel between 15 and 8 days before the start of the tour, you will receive 50% of the paid amount. After this time, or in case of no-show, no refunds will be made.
The tickets included in the tour are nominative and non-refundable.

DAY 1 Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO - Arusha

The guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel in Arusha.

DAY 2 Arusha - Tarangire National Park - Karatu

Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at the hotel in Arusha, you will start your journey to Tarangire National Park, one of the most spectacular parks in the country.
You will enjoy a half-day safari in Tarangire, the sixth largest national park in Tanzania, known for the ease of spotting herds of elephants. The safaris are conducted in 4x4 vans with folding roof and always accompanied by a guide.

Karatu
After enjoying this first contact with the African savannah, in the afternoon, you will travel in your private vehicle to Karatu, where you will spend the second night of your trip to Tanzania.
Fine local dining and an idyllic location await you at Eileen's Trees Inn in Karatu.
DAY 3 Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti National Park

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti National Park. On the way you will make a photo stop at the panoramic viewpoint of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will continue your drive along the park's edge.
Serengeti National Park
Before arriving at the park, you can make a second stop at a Masai village. This visit is not included in the tour, but Howlanders recommends adding this experience to your trip.
Upon arrival at the Serengeti you will start the second safari of your trip aboard the Landcruiser 4x4 and accompanied by your guide.
Mawe Tented Camp or Wildebeest Tented Camp
At the end of the safari, you will board your private vehicle and head to the camp where you will spend the next two nights. A unique experience awaits you sleeping in the heart of the Serengeti in one of the two camps.

DAY 4 Serengeti National Park

Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Early in the morning, you will enjoy a unique breakfast in the middle of the African savannah. And with your belly full and your batteries recharged, you will start your full day safari in the Serengeti in the company of your guide.
Objective of day 4: to find the Big Five. Do you already know which animals are considered the Big Five of Africa?
DAY 5 Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha
Accommodation: Four Points by Sheraton Arusha / Mount Meru Hotel

Ngorongoro Crater Safari
You will leave behind Serengeti and head for Ngorongoro. This time, you will descend to the base of Ngorongoro for a 4-hour safari on board a 4x4 vehicle.
In the afternoon, you will return to Arusha, the second largest city in Tanzania. Here you will spend the fifth night of your Tanzania Zanzibar safari.
💬 Dinner on this day is not included. Take the opportunity to discover the local gastronomy following the advice of your guide.
DAY 6 Arusha - Kilimanjaro JRO Airport - Zanzibar

Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport JRO
After breakfast, and depending on the departure time of your flight, a private vehicle will take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport. There you will take the flight to Zanzibar (economy class) included in the tour.

Upon arrival at Zanzibar airport a private vehicle will be waiting to take you to Kendwa Rocks Hotel. The relaxation and disconnection from the world begins.
DAYS 7, 8 and 9 Kendwa Beach Zanzibar

The Kendwa Rocks Hotel, located in Kendwa, is surrounded by lush gardens, and has its own private beach. Its rooms overlook the Indian Ocean. All are equipped with local furnishings, air conditioning, fan, private bathroom, digital safe and mosquito nets.
Breakfast will be served in the morning in the hotel's dining room. In addition, Kendwa Rocks also has a restaurant serving international and Swahili cuisine where you can taste real delicacies.

DAY 10 Zanzibar Stone Town

After enjoying the last breakfast with visits to paradise, a private vehicle will take you to the Tembo House Hotel, located in the historic center of Zanzibar town. Where you will spend the last night of your Tanzania Zanzibar safari.
Stone Town, in English or Mji Mkongwe, in Swahili, is how the old part of Zanzibar City is known.
