Cinco días fantásticos en plena selva y junto la Comunidad indígena de Libertad. En el Lodge el servicio és genial, se come mut bien, los guías són maravillosos y todas l'as actividades son francamente una gran experiencia. Desde el conductor del bote, hasta la señora que teje sus pulseras en el pueblo, todo el mundo es muy buena gente y te sientes realmente bien.

Wir wurden direkt am Flughafen von unseren Guide abgeholt. Uns wurde direkt alles erklärt und wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Die Logde war sauber und direkt am Amazonas gelegen. Das Dorf und die Menschen waren sehr freundlich. Das Essen war super lecker, es gab auch immer einen frischen Saft zur Mahlzeit. Die Aktivitäten darf man selbst mit dem privaten Guide auswählen und so gestaltet man den Aufenthalt gemeinsam. Wir hatten wirklich eine unvergessliche Zeit im Dschungel und haben viele Tiere gesehen. Unser Guide war super, hatte viel Wissen und hat alles zu einem tollen Erlebnis für uns gestaltet. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall irgendwann wieder.

I took my mom who was nervous about going to the jungle, but we had an incredible experience! From seeing pink dolphins, fishing piranhas, and swinging from a vine like Tarzan, we had an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Wilson, top notch. We felt like we were the only ones in the jungle at times, which contributed to the magic of the trip.

Una experiencia única!! Disfrutamos muchísimo de estos días, nuestras expectativas eran altas pero la vivencia fue todavía mejor. Guillermo, nuestro Guía hizo que la experiencia fuera más maravillosa todavía. Estamos muy agradecidos.

This was the most amazing experience! I loved how every group had their own tour guide, which made it feel like a really personalized experience. Gumer was an incredible guide, and I loved getting to experience the Amazon with someone who grew up in the area and who was so familiar with the environment!

El tour nos ha encantado. Fuimos mi primo y yo, nos recogieron en el aeropuerto y nos llevaron al resort, desde allí se hacen muchas excursiones a elegir. En especial nos gustó mucho el canotaje en el Amazonas y los delfines rosas. ,Los guías, Remi y Carlos, muy atentos y simpáticos. La comida estaba rica. ¡Recomendamos llevar repelente para mosquitos!

Nos ha encantado la experiencia.Sin duda una de las mejores cosas que hemos hecho en Perú.Encantados con todo el personal.

Gut informierter Guide mit sehr verständlichem Englisch, er hat sich rührend um uns gekümmert und steht voll hinter der Community, dem Projekt und dem Schutz des Waldes. Essen ist perfekt für die Möglichkeiten, Bier und Cola kann man auch im Dorf kaufen.
Die Ausflüge sind gut vorbereitet, aber das Konzept der privaten Führungen erschwert den Kontakt zu Mitreisenden.
Die Zimmer sind einfach, sehr sauber und völlig hinreichend.
Das einzige wirkliche Problem ist die Lautstärke: 
Samstagnacht gibt es sehr laute Musik aus dem 
Dorf, es wird viel ringsum mit lautem Werkzeug, Motorsäge etc. gearbeitet, von sechs bis neun läuft notwendigerweise der Generator.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren, aber das Wochenende meiden.

This was a great experience in the Peruvian Amazon, and the knowledge from the guides was fantastic. We had Remy and Carlos and not once did we feel unsafe even while walking through the forest. Remy went out of his way to ensure that we had a good time and saw everything that we wanted. Would definitely recommend.

This wa an amazing experience and  seemlessly well organized..

Guillermo was our guide and Carlos was our boatman.  They catered everything to our needs and wishes.  This included assisting my 77 year old mother's needs with my friend and I desire for adventure. 

We were welcomed into the community to play football and community events, 

We thoroughly enjoyed camping in the jungle, spotting numerous wildlife, swimming with dolphins, and making friends.

We had the most amazing 4 days on this tour! Our favourite experience so far in our four months in South America. Remi was an incredible guide - super knowledgeable, passionate, and great communication. So many great activities and some nice down time to relax in the hammocks in the beautiful lodge. Food was great. We saw so much wildlife each day. Highly recommend!

No hay palabras que puedan describir la maravillosa experiencia que he tenido en este tour de 4 dias. No lo olvidaré en mi vida!!!!. Joel y Gustavo nuestros guias estarán para siempre en mi corazón. Sus enseñanzas, sus cuidados y como me han hecho sentir durante los 4  dias en la selva han sido mágicos. Pero es que desde el minuto 0 hasta el último la organización ha sido excepcional incluida Antonia 2 dias antes de empezar el tour. Gracias, gracias, gracias!!!!!

Espectacular. En el lodge nos han tratado de maravilla. El guía Gumer un 10, conoce muy bien la zona y nos explicó todo fenomenal. Mención tambien para Manuel el barquero y Franck el cocinero. Comidas espectaculares.

It was a very impressive experience I’ll never forget! Our guide Gomer has done more than you could ever expect from a guide. He did everything to show us all this jungle has to offer. In combination with our boat driver Freddy who was very experienced himself, they have been a fantastic team. All the others, the cook who has prepared the piranhas we caught and made a necklace form the lower jaw of one of the piranhas for me. I can highly recommend this 4 day trip with Howlanders!

We loved the jungle tour and would recommend it to anyone. We booked on very short notice and everything went smoothly. Our guide Larry met us at the airport in Iquitos and accompanied us to the lodge. The lodge is very comfortable and the people are very friendly. The food was great (vegetarian) and the portions were huge. 
Larry planned a varied program with us, which we could change at short notice. He knows a lot about the Amazon, the plants, the animals and the life there. 
We enjoyed every second.

Me and my partner recently had the most incredible experience on this 4-day Amazon tour, and I can't help but share my excitement! From the moment we set foot on the boat, it was a journey filled with adventure, nature, and warm interactions with the locals and wildlife.

One of the highlights of the tour was spending a night camping amidst the mesmerizing sounds of the rainforest, this was optional. Surrounded by nocturnal creatures, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and appreciation for the natural world. It was truly a magical experience that left me with unforgettable memories.

The wildlife encounters were simply astounding! Bird watching was an absolute delight, as we spotted vibrant species flying through the sky. The guides ‘Larry & Joel’ were knowledgeable and helped us identify what everything was, from monkeys, to pink toed tarantulas!

Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, the meals exceeded our expectations in every way! We were served three delicious meals a day, and the flavors were simply divine. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to find a variety of mouthwatering fruit and vegetable options. it was evident that the team took great care in providing a high quality service.

The scheduling of activities was well thought out. We had a packed itinerary that ensured we made the most of our time in the Amazon, yet there was enough downtime to savor the meals and have a breather before the next adventure. I appreciated the balance, as it allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

Overall, this Amazon tour was an absolute gem. The combination of nature, cultural immersion, and food made it an unforgettable journey. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an extraordinary adventure. Prepare to be amazed, inspired, and treated to an experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. Oh and remember your mosquito spray!!

Totally amazing. My daughter and I had both Charlie and Joel for our 4 day/3 night adventure. We saw sloths, tons of monkeys, pink and gray dolphins, piranha, capybera, tarantulas, carachama, myriad birds and ate tons of pretty tasty food. the cabins are spare but comfortable. The mosquito nets did keep the mosquitoes out. We did so many excursions I can’t even remember them all and we had a great time every time and we felt safe and it was unforgettable.

Direkt vorab, diese Tour hat nichts mit Massentourismus und ausgetretenen Touristenpfaden zu tun, ganz im Gegenteil! Den Touristen wird hier nichts touristisches vorgespielt, die Erlebnisse hier sind echt. Einer der beeindruckensten Touren, die ich jemals gemacht habe und die einen Einblick in eine ganz andere Lebensweise und Lebensraum gibt. Wir sind am Hotel in Iquitos pünktlich abgeholt worden und mit dem Auto nach Nauta gefahren, um dort in ein Mototaxi umzusteigen, das uns zum Hafen bringt. Die Fahrt bzw. Umstiege waren ein bisschen chaotisch, aber perfekt geplant. Das Abenteuer beginnt schon hier! Dann trafen wir unseren Guide Joel am Boot, der uns die nächsten Tage begleitete. Wir fuhren direkt zur Gemeine, die aus ca. 300 Einwohnern besteht, die ein sehr einfaches Leben führen. Die Guides und Köche, die hier arbeiten, wohnen selbst in der Gemeinde und kennen das Gebiet in und auswendig. Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber für den Dschungel überdurchschnittlich gut ausgestattet. Die Zimmer haben ein eigenes Bad mit fließendem Wasser und Mosquito Netzen um die Betten. Wir wollten Abenteuer und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die nächsten Tage erwarteten uns Bootsfahrten über den Fluss Ucayali, Dschungelwanderungen mit erfolgreicher Sichtungen von Affen, Faultieren und vielen besonderen Heilpflanzen. Zudem konnten wir Amazonas Delfine bei der Fischjagd beobachten, Piranhas fischen und essen, Kanu fahren, im Fluss baden und die idyllische Ruhe genießen. Unsere Guides Joel und Alexander zeigten uns mit Machete und Boot ausgestattet ihr Zuhause und teilten ihr beeindruckendes Wissen und hinterließen bei uns nachhaltig eine Faszination des Dschungels und des Gespürs der Einheimischen für die Natur. Die Nachtwanderung war sicherlich das aufregendste der 4 Tage Aufenthalt dort. Es ging los in die dunkle Nacht des Dschungels auf der Suche nach Kaimanen und Taranteln. Eine einzigartige Erfahrung! Wir waren im November dort. Das ist offiziell das Ende der Trockensaison, das bedeutet wir haben viele Wanderungen zu Fuß machen können. Ab Dezember startet die Regensaison und das Erlebnis ist sicherlich nochmal anders, wenn alles unter Wasser steht. Realität sind leider auch Mosquitos, egal wie viel Mückenschutz man aufträgt, die Biester stechen einen trotzdem. Darauf sollte man sich einstellen. Worauf man sich auch einstellen kann: Köstliches Essen und großartige Verpflegung. 3 frische und gesunde Mahlzeiten täglich werden gekocht. Die Tour kann individuell gestaltet werden, ist sicher und professionell, Jeder erhält einen eigenen Guide und durch die regelmäßigen Touristen sind Jobs der Einheimischen gesichert. Eine Win-win Situation, von der Jeder profitiert! Falls ihr der Gemeinde etwas gutes tun möchtet, bringt ihnen einfache Medizinprodukte und Verbandsmaterial mit, das wird dort immer gebraucht und ist zu wenig vorhanden. Das Projekt ist eine absolute Herzensempfehlung! Habt ihr Lust ein ganz anderes Leben in einem fremden Lebensraum kennenzulernen und Abenteuer zu erleben? Dann seid ihr hier in den besten Händen! I had a wonderful time in the jungle. Everything was well organized, I saw monkeys, dolphins, tarantulas, piranhas and more animals. I learned a lot about the nature. The food in the lodge was good as well. They managed easily to prepar food for me without gluten, sugar and milk. The guide Jaime did a great job and also organized a match of football with the origin people from the tribe. 

We went in January expecting it to rain the whole time and it was sunny and beautiful everyday. It was hot! I went with my adult son. The lodge had nice little huts for each of us and our own bathrooms. The food was delicious and the people were very friendly. The guide, Jamie Chavez, was outstanding! He and the boat driver took us places that we could hardly believe we were able to get to. We learned so much every time the guide opened his mouth I had to video his educational words so I didn't forget them.

I really appreciated how skilled our guide was. I know there are a lot of places that use cheaper guides that do not have the training from the Guide Schools. This is too bad because those guides may be influenced by tourists who simply want a thrill, rather than a true jungle experience and what the guide shares is important information about the history and preservation of the Amazon, it's ecological importance and the importance to treat it with care!

For example, we went looking for certain animals on a given day but one time we did not find what we were looking for. I did not mind that, and in fact thought it added to the tour of the day, because not only did we learn a lot of other things that day, but we appreciated the way wild animals live. This is not a zoo! Animals do not sit there waiting for you to take their picture. If you want to do that, go to a zoo! The guide should always keep the interest and needs of the Amazonas in primary position in his mind. He should not, for example, disturb sleeping monkeys for the sake of a tourist. That's a bad idea because then those monkeys will leave that place and won't be there the next time someone tries to take a tour to see them.

I would suggest that the lodge add solar power, a better recycling program (there was no place for us to put any plastic we may have wanted to discard and I don't know that they separated compostables from paper), and teach their youth to clean up any stray plastic and to be stewards of the Amazon!

Organizar esta excursión con Howlanders ha sido una excelente experiencia. Tanto la preparación, las consultas, la forma de adaptarse a nuestro presupuesto. Los preparativos del viaje se hicieron muy fluidos. La llegada a Iquitos fue por esto de lo más relajada sabiendo en todo momento quién te esperaba, cuáles eran los siguientes pasos, total tranquilidad sin tener que preocuparte por el siguiente paso. Totalmente recomendable. Al ser una área de difícil acceso y comunicaciones es la mejor forma de moverte sin ninguna preocupación.

We had a very great time at the Jungle Lodge! The lodge is located in the middle of the jungle on the banks of the Amazon River. The facilities are very rustic and basic but for the exotic aspect, it’s fantastic. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The guides are excellent and know the area well. We had the opportunity to see nature in action. I strongly recommend this tour!

La experiencia ha sido estupenda.
Joel y Gustavo han sido unos guía y barquero maravillosos, mostrándonos todos los secretos de la selva así como de su comunidad.Vivir cerca de una comunidad dentro del Amazonas ha hecho que la experiencia haya sido mucho más completa. 
Se lo recomendaríamos a todo el mundo.
Quizás, por poner un "pero", sería el viaje en coche previo a llegar al Amazonas. Fue un poco inseguro por parte del conductor.

Gestionamos nuestra estancia en la amazonia peruana de Iquitos con Howlanders. Un transporte posó a buscarnos por nuestro hotel de Iquitos y nos llevo a nuestro Lodge. Este lodge es muy sencillo, con lo básico e imprescindible, pero maravilloso: está plenamente integrado con la comunidad con la que colabora y de la cual son los propietarios y trabajadores. Realmente nos ha encantado nuestra estancia y experiencia allí: la gente, actividades, los trabajadores, la comida, las activades, etc. Muchas gracias!!!!

Hemos tenido una magnífica experiencia. Nuestro guia May nos ha transmitido su respeto y pasión por la naturaleza. Su gran conocimiento del medio y de la cultura de las comunidades de la selva han hecho que tengamos una vivencia inolvidable .Muy buenas instalaciones y una comida rica y variada.Nos quedamos con muchas ganas de volver.

Fuimos a la selva de Iquitos. La experiencia fue magnífica, brutal. Recomendamos ir a ver los caimanes por la noche, no solo por los caimanes, sino por el paseo nocturno por el río.

Una crítica que hago de cara a mejorar es el pago en efectivo allí. Sería mejorable si se pudiera pagar también con tarjeta o con transferencia. Se hace muy pesado porque los cajeros suelen tener un límite para sacar.

El Tour en Iquitos es la experiencia en la selva que estábamos buscando!
Teníamos dudas entre el tour de 3 y 4 días y elegir 4 fue lo mejor que pudimos hacer, ya que te da tiempo a disfrutar mucho más del lugar, que es un paraje único! Hicimos caminatas, y vimos un montón de animales salvajes, alucinante la cantidad de monos!
La comida está deliciosa (mucha cantidad quiza! jaja!), el lodge es sencillito, pero impecable y los guias realmente fantásticos, nos permitieron conocer no solo la fauna y la flora del lugar, también la cultura local y eso nos encantó.
Es super auténtico!

Este tour de Howlanders fue muy entretenido. El lugar es increíble. La valoración hacia howlanders es positiva, el guía sabía mucho sobre la zona y nos contó muchas historias muy curiosas. El alojamiento no estuvo mal, hay que cuidarse mucho de los mosquitos. En general, estuvo bien.
