Tour itinerary

DAY 1 Seymour de Baltra Airport- Santa Cruz

Our guide will be waiting at the Baltra airport to take us to Santa Cruz. After eating in a typical restaurant, we will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station where we will have the opportunity to see different generations of the impressive giant tortoises. We will also learn about how the Galapagos Islands were formed and how they have evolved, being a perfect introduction to this unique ecosystem.

Then we will have time to have dinner on our own in the different restaurants in the area and rest in our hotel until the next morning.

DAY 2 Floreana Island (Asilo Paz, black sand beach) – Santa Cruz Island

After breakfast, a boat will take us to Floreana Island, being one of the oldest as well as the favorite of pirates, whalers and settlers for centuries. The volcano of this island became extinct and over time and soils rich in nutrients have formed, making the native flora flourish in its one of a kind landscape.

We will walk through the ‘Asilo de la Paz’, where we will find ‘La Cueva de los Piratas’. We will also have the chance to see giant tortoises in their habitat. After eating and resting, the incredible underwater world of Galapagos awaits us, which you can enjoy while snorkeling. At the end of the day, we will return to Puerto Ayora where you will have free time at our hotel to rest.

DAY 3 Santa Cruz - Plaza Sur Island

After breakfast, we will visit the small island of Plaza Sur. Famous for its extraordinary flora, it is home to large prickly pears and the succulent Sesuvium that changes color depending on the season, giving the island an unusual color.

We will eat lunch on the island and have time to enjoy its most interesting inhabitants, the characteristic land iguanas of Galapagos. We will return to Puerto Ayora and have free time to have dinner on our own and rest.

DAY 4 Santa Cruz - Seymour

After breakfast we will head to North Seymour Island which is very close to the island of Baltra, also known as South Seymour. On this island, you will have the opportunity to see the curious blue-footed seabirds (meticulously studied by Charles Darwin), the swallow-tailed gulls, in addition to the characteristic land iguanas and the precious sea lions.

At the end of the visit to the island, we will return to Puerto Ayora, to end a day that we promise you will not forget.

DAY 5 Isabela Island (Tintoreras Bay, flamingo lagoon, tortoise breeding center)

We will get up early and after breakfast and take a boat from Santa Cruz to Isabela Island, the largest of all the Galapagos. We will do a tour of Bahía Tintoreras, a group of small islands located near Puerto Villamil.

There you can see sea lions, penguins and even sharks among other animals. In the afternoon, we can visit a flamingo lagoon and a tortoise breeding center. At the end of the day, we will return to our hotel and we will have free time to rest.

DAY 6 Isabela Island (Sierra Negra Volcano, Campo Duro Farm, Concha y Perla Beach)

After breakfast, we will begin one of the most intense days of the tour in which we will visit the Sierra Negra Volcano, which has the largest crater in the world. During the tour, we will enjoy the amazing landscapes offered by La Bacanilla and the Chico volcano.

We will eat at the Campo Duro farm, which is a typical farm of the area. In the afternoon, we will explore one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos, known as Concha y Perla. We will have time to snorkel and discover the incredible underwater world that only Galapagos offers, or just swim and relax while marvelling at the beautiful turquoise sea. At the end of the day, we will return to the hotel in Isabela to have dinner and rest.

DAY 7 Boat to Santa Cruz Island - Baltra

Today we will get up early and have breakfast. Afterwards, we will take a boat that will take us to Baltra Island Airport, ending this wonderful adventure to the ‘origin of species’.
