5 Day Galapagos Island Hopping Tour

The guide will pick us up to go to Santa Cruz to admire an incredible landscape and giant tortoises. We will eat at the ranch Manzanillo and continue our route to Puerto Ayora. During this journey, we will make a stop at the Charles Darwin Research Station, getting to know the formation of the islands and observe the breeding center for giant tortoises. In addition, we will see the reproduction center of land iguanas and different generations of turtles. Afterwards, we will have time to rest at the hotel.

We will arrive to Isabela from the Puerto de Ayora in a speedboat that will last about two and a half hours. Upon arrival, we will go to our hotel to leave any extra luggage we will eat lunch. In the afternoon, we will go to the Arnaldo Tupiza breeding center, where we will observe giant tortoises from the south of Isabela and learn about the project that is carried out for the conservation of the species. We will also have the opportunity to visit the Laguna de Flamingos.

We will start the day visiting the Sierra Negra volcano, whose basaltic caldera is 9 x 10 km, being the largest in Galapagos. We will be taken aback by the landscapes and observe up to eight species of finches and varied vegetation. We will then eat lunch at the ranch and return to the hotel to rest.

In the afternoon we will go to Tintoreras, where a guide will pick us up to board a speedboat. We will see one of the most fascinating species in Galapagos, the white-tipped sharks, as well as other species such as sea lions, iguanas, blue-footed seabirds, crabs, sea turtles, pelicans and penguins. Once we get to the islet, we can snorkel to see fish, starfish, sea urchins, manta rays and beautiful sharks swimming around.

We will get up early to return to Puerto Ayora, Santa Cruz, to be able to rest and prepare for our visit to Tortuga Bay. After a 40 minute walk, we will arrive at the most beautiful beach in Galapagos with its white sand and green mangroves, where we can swim and have a good time.

After breakfast, we can enjoy the beautiful views of the islands for the last time before getting picked up for the airport and catching the flight that will take us back to Quito or Guayaquil.
